Festival Soukous in Bamako, Mali with Pepe Kalle, Nyboma, etc.

With nationalism growing alot of last 10 years in the French speaking countries of Africa and concerts of foreign artists even being boycotted or sabotated, do y'all think that countries like Mali, Ivory Coast, Benin or Cameroun will ever organise a festival dedicated to Ndombolo or Rumba in their capitals ? Because here in Europe you would sometimes see festivals dedicated to dancehall or reggae and the biggest artists of the genre coming to the Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam or London to perform.

It could happen in somewhere like Kenya where they love Rumba. Or maybe in Uk France or Belgium but it would be mixed with the new style Franco Europe kind of style that it’s more Rumba/Seben influence instead of pure rumba for example Ya Levis, Tayc, Ntaba 2 London etc

It can be organized by congolese diaspora, or congolese embassies abroad. Normaly festivals are meant to showcase nations culture,  and music is one the of the cultures beside handicraft,  food, dance and costumes.  I have also experienced presence of congolese music art in many international festivals. For example, the last festival in Dubai, Zaiko langa langa was honoured to perform on the stage.
