This concert was a shambles loool but the camera quality and production were quite good.

Was this concert last minute? It feels impromptu, like they didn't have time to rehearsal like other big concerts.

It was not last minute. Concertpromoter Junior Mac Kenro announced just it after the release of Effrakata along with Double Stade des Martyrs of Werrason, which to take place the same month, but Werrason later prefering to postponed, to fully focus on the preparation of Double Zenith.

Junior Mac Kenro created fanclubs and merchandise to promote the show in all 24 areas of Kinshasa. Especially in places like Masina, Kimbanseke, N'djili, Kingasani and Malueka. Those fanclubs were even in Mikonga and Mpassa. Although the effort, Koffi was still not sure if he would fill the stadium. So when he arrived in Kinshasa after the Europe/USA tour and a serie concerts in West-Africa, he went to visit Werrason at La Zamba Playa to ask for support. Werrason then also helping with the promo using buses, Heritier and Bill also doing promo for it on tv and Werrason & Koffi having a parade around Kinshasa.

In meantime Quartier Latin prepared the show for like 2 weeks at Cinemax along with new recruited musicians (they were recruited by Rocky Blanchard when they were on tour, after Koffi thinking that a split would come, the same Blanchard shortly after it for Academia) and dancers, but apparently Fally, Deo, Soleil and co didn't want the new recruiting singers Assow and co to sing.

So when the day of the show came Koffi didn't except the stadium to be filled (because of the 1999 experience), also before the concert he drank alot of wishkey to get drunk and also when he arrived in stadium. When he came on stage he lost it and started interrupting songs to play another, for example they started Suivez le Guide and Gibson hadn't even finished singing and Koffi started screaming by asking if the stadium is full and them starting Bilan. He interrupted songs like 3/4 times to start another during the concert, which messed the event up. You can see that he was a bit lost, after coming on stage before starting Droit de Veto-sebene.


Several newspapers wrote that Koffi did it well by filling Stade des Martyrs but that it was a bad show and that Koffi was mostly spending time to praise himself and dissing his rivals. Koffi himself didn't care, thanked all his fans and announced a serie of public concerts around all the 24 areas to thank them. Vodacom  sponsporing that tour. Werrason on his turn was irritated in private, excepting that Koffi would credit him. Concertpromoter Junior Mac Kenro, immediatly after the event came to RTNC, claiming that Koffi scammed and ruined him financially, also that they stole his footage. Junior's interview created alot of polemic and gave the theory of Emeneya, Wenge BCBG and Academia that Koffi just performed with an open gate credibity. In the weeks that followed the rivals kept attacking Koffi about his event, Junior himself being danger and fled to Brazzaville

Who said to Koffi that he had to braid his hair ? I didn’t like. It was rare to see him without a cap above it. Sometimes I wonder if the way Academia and later Maison Mere started mock him about his hairline, made him stop having braids.

Thinking about Koffi reacting towards the end of the video about how he was insulted by Wenge BCBG and by being called foreign and west-Africa, could have turned bad for JB Mpiana if there was social media at that time. They have started a boycott against him. Ironically the same JB Mpiana would have some concerts there (Mali, Niger and Guinea) in 2003 when those visa-problems started. JB Mpiana was very loved there in the era of Feux de l’Amour and Titanic. He had the potential to become very big there, but he missed the occasion.
