It's crazy that with all success the album Temoignage had in 2006, no concert promoter came with the initiative to bring Werrason to Zenith or do a double Olympia. His fame wasn't on the level anymore to do LSC, Elysee Montmartre and all those other small halls. Those who witnessed that era know that. Was the fear for losing money like that happened to the events in 2003 (the Zenith's of Koffi and Wemba) big ? or was there something else that happened behind the scenes ?

For example, when he Werrason did LSC in 2005, the event where he invited Papa Wemba, Bozi Boziana and Koffi Olomide. There were like 3.000/4.000 people waiting outside, which created some mess and the municipal council of Saint-Denis not being happy. This made Congolese artists for a moment not being allowed to perform there anymore and not long after that the hall, which has a huge significance for Congolese music and that of the French West-Indies, getting demolished.

Wasn’t this the same period where artists weren’t playing at those mystic halls anymore? Because even Koffi when he came to Europe with the danger de mort team after the success of Longitima Skol he didn’t perform at Olympia, Zenith or Bercy either.

yeah exactly that 2004 to 2006 period was dead in terms of big halls maybe because of the consequences of ngulu affair visas numbers started reducing by half already

Yes. But for Koffi Olomidé I can understand. He failed twice at Zenith (his two Zenith's in 2003), which probably would make concertpromoters not want to risk to put money on him. Also for the tour of 2005-06, he had apparently problems to get visa's, which made him first do concerts with session-artists in Europe and later on Steve Munsi (I think) plan a concert for him n Sweden, which made him automatically get visa's for the Schengen-Area and after his event in Ireland and Palais des Congres of Montreuil-Paris, getting contracts for concerts accros Europe. If I remember well, the EP came out during the tour itself and also the second part of the Monde Arabe-clips. Talking about the tour, there was alot hype around Fally and Ferre, but it was not that there was big urge to go to his events in Paris-events like in 1998, 2000, 2001 and 2002. Also I remember people complaining on skyrock about his shows at Elysee Montmarte and Bataclan, that it started to become boring (and his concerts not being like back in the days, where you would dance alot. Also being mad that Koffi would come very late to his shows. But when looking the DVD's it's says totally different (which means that they cut alot parts out)

Thinking about back about both events,  the concerts were done back-to-back in two weeks, Koffi could have easily done an Olympia with it.

But when the shows  at big halls came back (2007-2010), they still did the shows with a limited number of visa's. I still wonder which way our music would go, if there wasn't a concert ban. Because there projects of different concert-promoters to get artists at Bercy, after seeing how many the most Zenith's went well. Werrason even claimed that there a concertpromoter that wanted to him to have an event a Parc des Princes in 2012 with Youssou N'dour (I don't know if it was a duo-concert or seperated shows), but it concidended with the concert ban arriving.
