Papa Noel was a big dog. He was a leader of a group Le Bamboula before he would end up playing for Franco and OK Jazz. This was his best solo performance during his OK Jazz years. It was the Franco song LOCATAIRE.

late Papa Noel is one of the rare Congolese artists to have performed in Algeria. In 1969, he went there to perform with his band Bamboula. Many talented musicians used to be in Bamboula, for example Pepe Kalle, Bozi Boziana, Madilu, Wuta Mayi, Aime Kiawakana, Decca and Antoinette Etisomba
