For real he doesn’t need to retire and he’s still very much relevant and he still does put out good music here and there.

I see Americans and uk legends touring even and no one asking for them to retire but in Congo we want ours to retire early as if is a Monday to Friday job 😂
Is there any up and coming Congo artists these days? I hardly see any besides the Fally and Ferre.
simple answer,he is from a country where you have to always prove you exist to get some real respect,no wonder why everytime he hinted at retirment he changed his mind
There's no other quick way to gain money, buy new cars and build houses, accepting 30k or 50k from fans/donors that dream to have a song dedicated to them on the market. Should he refuse it if there are more than 10 ? Bozi Boziana who's 73 old and also has a big catalogue, keeps releasing new albums and performing, but why is nobody attacking him ? Why is nobody attacking Nyoka Longo who's 71 years old and about to release an EP with his band ? People need to stop blaming Koffi, people need to blame the new generation for not being able to release good albums and songs, being only focused on insulting rivals, their family-members and exposing their private-life. The way people keep dancing on Papa Mobimba during weddings and parties like it's a new generique, already show how incapable the new generation is in producing proper generique's. If we were in 2005, people would have forgotten Koffi like the way Papa Wemba went on the background in the mid 2000s. But Koffi is lucky to live an era where good music is basically death. The same people that wants him to retire, will be the first to mock him being finished like the way people did to Emeneya and Papa Wemba, when they were alive
