Interesting to know that Jf's uniform that he wore at Bercy belonged to the guy playing the keyboard because I always wondered why he wasn't wearing the uniform like the others.
Wow so Deba O'Neil originally had a song recorded in Force De Frappe but Koffi removed it when he left now it explains how Jordan was able to put Aquarelle in its place.

Modogo said something similar about learning Koffi's song in the studio. But is it that they learn the majority of few songs there ? Because in many videos you could already see them sing upcoming songs before going to Europe. Did Jipson not threw a shot indirectly by saying that they were all great singers and if someone messed up it was because of person being Koffi's pire petit ?

Looks like Mbuta didn't watch the version that people saw in Kinshasa live on tv, but the one that came out on VHS, maybe he was abroad at that moment. Because he didn't ask question about Champion having cramp, JF Ifonge jumping in the public or Felly Manuaku coming on stage to participate. Also he said that people didn't see Depitcho back after Fally while they had also solo's on Loi, but that part wasn't released on VHS

I was surprised to hear that Nguma Silawuka immediately ran away after Bercy. Because I think that I saw him in another concert playing bass don't remember if it was Brussels or another city. I wonder why he ran away, because Koffi used to like him alot and he let him play Attentat by himself. Maybe he tried to return towards the end of the tour, which explains why Koffi did 12 on him, by letting him play bass when the concert was finished with all singers going off from stage.

Jipson version about Depitcho's departure is different from that Jordan Kusa and Depitcho  himself explained  to Ado Yuhe, about saying that he came late. If Deba O'Neil had a song on Force de Frappe. Why were those rhythm-partition different from the way he played at Bercy and concerts ? Did he leave before the recordings, but the song being that beautiful that Koffi wanting to keep it on the album, but because of Jordan Kusa insisting to put a song him removing it from the album ? Eric Tutsi said that he was also not supposed to participate because of him running away after performing in Brussels, but Koffi wanting him to participate to Force de Frappe and him rejoining towards the end and putting Dulcinée. I wonder what made the musicians prefer to have their headquarter in Paris and not Brussels, after staying there for 2 months. Were they attacked by new jack-gangsters or viva-fanatics or is that Paris had more "grand pretre ya masolo" ? The Bercy tour must be after Danger de Mort, the one where bandmembers ran away the most (late Ocean, Mustapha, Deba O'Neil, Clovis Silawuka and JF Ifongé)

Jipson rated himself towards the end to high. I don't believe that many singers worked on his voice and that Shella Mputu did the song Diviser par Deux by getting inspired by his voice, because that song was an old song that he used to perform when being in SVP La Gamme with Didier Lacoste, Musika-sika, Shulay and co.

Jipson was seemingly throwing a few jabs at Depitcho lol, maybe he’s holding a grudge against Depitcho because of that whole uniform controversy at QL’s anniversary a few years ago lol because he said Depitcho was never a chef but everyone who was interviewed from the attentat era have all said that Depitcho was the chef of the group and was in charge of the group when Koffi would be abroad.

Mbuta needs to watch Bercy again because he says Koffi called for Depitcho to come on stage but Fally came instead which isn’t true and Koffi never said Fally’s name it was Ocean and the only musician Koffi called by name to come onstage ironically was Jordan, and CNN also called out Moustapha’s name Gianfranco when he came on stage.
I wonder why Deba O’Neil left seemed like Koffi liked him a lot because he was credited for the song Caméléon in attentat, he should do an interview explaining why left. I think at least 8 bandmembers left during the Bercy tour, all those guys you mentioned along with Depitcho and 3 dancers I believe.

Eric leaving in Europe originally definitely came back to biting him in the ass in the future because on thing I’ve noticed about Koffi when a bandmember runs away in Europe during the middle of the tour and chooses to return back to Kin they end up getting left behind later on like Eric did for Effrakata, Zina and Babia for Bercy, Shella for Zenith 2007..

I don’t think Jipson was lying about what he said about Shellawofking on his voice because in the Boma nga n’elengi dvd when he’s presenting his voice he sings a bit like Jipson compared to his usual voice and Soleil himself said on Ado Yuhe that Shella was recruited to slowly replace Jipson.

Yeah, Koffi already made him appear in the intro of the Droit de Veto-cassette, where you can see him playing basketball with Koffi while others had short sequences on the footage.

I think that Savanet was chef de repetition or Do Akongo's adjoint, because after Sam Tshintu's departure it was Do Akongo who was appointed as chef d'orchestre. In the 'Sur la Route de Bercy' video, you can also see him being presented as chef d'orchestre. The difference with Depitcho is that he was Koffi's favorite and he had also some charisma which made him look like their leader. Another thing is that after the Olympia-tour, Depitcho created some kind of a cultus around Koffi, coming with  bandmembers like JF Ifonge & Champion on tv and later on with Fally & Jordan to praise Koffi every sunday on tv and give their program.

It's true that Koffi didn't say Depitcho's name. But Koffi wanted to have him on stage and said twice "R vient" (R to refer to his nickname Ronaldo/R9). But he refused and instead of him Fally appeared from 7:20 min

Depitcho probably not wanted to get outshined by Fally and thought that he would steal the show by going as last. On the end, it was tactical mistake, because his part got cutt off (maybe also a 12 from Koffi for having left QL and a way to boost Fally even more).

Jordan must have been lucky that Koffi discovered of him being related to Aliane. Otherwise he wouldn't get any chance. In the Droit de Veto-cassette he didn't receive a vocal during Sukantima "Droit de Veto" nor getting space to present himself or talk a few seconds like Arca Dineiro, Alain Mobeso, Lolo Ntumba and co who didn't make it on the end. But on Sur la Route de Bercy he got the chance to do vocals and present himself. I think that being "bureau/mukala" of both JF Ifongé and Savanet Depitcho also helped him a bit. I don't know anymore if it was JF Ifonge or Depitcho, but one of them said that when he started AGB, Jordan, Fally and CNN could have joined, since that they were their petits

We are lucky that Force de Frappe was recorded in the ndombolo-era. Because if it was done after Monde Arabe, then Koffi wouldn't have asked Jipson to change from song because of the album already having enough rumba's and we having heard Colé-Serré instead of Mopetre Lendila. While Mopetre Lendila has a great sebene and the song also a strong message. Mopetre Lendila also was n1 for a short time at the famous radio Africa N1 of Robert Brazza, but I think that it was more because of the sebene than the song itself

Maybe Koffi didn't know how to utilize baritone singers like his rivals so he kinda sidelined Kusa. But then again, Mamale and Willy Bula are excellent baritone and contributed a lot of great vocals. It could just be that Quartier Latin was too strong at the time and Jordan was amongst the weakest, which is high praise

depitcho arrived at bercy with already in his mind from various people that koffi wanted to give him a big 12 in favour of fally who was secretly told to watch him closely and coached by passe kosse and co who were doing the snitching missions(and start to modify his dancing according to depitcho's with less wild moves and more composure and class, which he mastered a couple of years later until now)
they had other disagreements like his salary that he wanted to upgrade, possibly to release an album in the next duration of his contract which he'd resign and so on aswell
which is why even in switzerland,as soon as him and jordan arrived late because of matolo,it was clear to him that not a single second on stage or something would happen, jordan danced and got humiliated

The Depitcho concert in Switzerland is confusing cause some members say he went on stage only danced and Koffi humiliated him on the mic, some say he went on stage danced and left, some say he asked to go on stage but Koffi said no and some say he himself refused to go on stage, so what actually happened? Lol

Looks like JPK Kitenge liked to taunt those who would come to Europe for the first time by offering them Jop. Beevans also got offered Jop from JPK and also received a hamburger. Many artists often do not talk about what happened in their first days in Europe or the funny anecdotes. The story about him, Fally and Binda receiving an "aperatif", but Jipson finishing everything not knowing that they would receive a meal and being able to eat it, made me laugh. Binda must have laughing very hard inside when seeing it.

There are stories that Koffi also had ideas to leave Depitcho and JF Ifongé behind in Kinshasa, but being afraid that they could join Wenge BCBG. Some say that Koffi wanted to leave Depitcho behind because of the way other veterans started to complain about Depitcho's behaviour to him, others because of his influence being to big and becoming big-headed.

In the interview with Ado Yuhe, Depitcho said that he asked to Koffi if he could sleep at home and not with the rest at Mama Amy's house where the maquis was. Because in his opinion if he would do it, new bandmember (like Soleil) would easily disrespect him. I think that a normal bandmember would not be happy with such reactions, because nobody is above the group, except the bandleader himself. Other bandleaders would see this a slowly way to challenge their authorithy. But I can't say what was going on in Koffi's head when receiving that request. I don't think that Champion, Binda Bass, Nseka and Mamale would have been happy with it.

i think its true, depitcho often says that if not for the past beefs of el paris 4X4 he could have easily joined bcbg especially as his "mentor" francis kalombo was now on that side, and jf also used to make it clear that jb was like his idol and also that he wanted to join(he even refers sometimes to how he told jb one day i want to be like you and jb nodded  his head in regret and said he should be happy to be in the position he is because because such a big leader is not easy probably "spiritually wise)
and also koffi was caught with the academia trauma again as jf and depitcho had taken the 'tv leadership" of the band while fally jordan and co were still building their image and looks and so on and surely koffi was worrying that if he kept promoting them both they'd grow too big and want to create their band, especially with cesar loboko still in europe and who was member of one of the most influential families of the industry back then with guyguy sika and co(you'll notice how fast the remaining faces of droit de veto were pushed out with only the big snitches tyson binda and passe kosse surviving the clearout)
and then at the same time leaving them both would be risky since they had the biggest europe established fanbase already among the guys plus ba zoulou and all that, the rest were mainly sensations people were willing to see for the first time, thats somehow as if bcbg performed zenith without afande and noko lias and only with genta rio kibens and co(looooooooord have mercy the concert would have been different lol)

It's a shame that Savanet Depitcho and JF Ifongé didn't capitalize on the succes of Bercy like the way Academia did with the succes of Olympia and Zenith. Although many giving them the label of being simply dancers and not singers, people were curious to see what AGB Quartier Latin would do, but they sadly disbanded after one concert. It would have been interested to see if they could the change the mind of the public opinion, by releasing an album. Thinking about it, I don't believe that Depitcho would receive the label of faux chanteur if he joined Quartier Latin. He was well respected when he was in Wenge El Paris with the nicknames "Roi des Crocos",  "Mfumu na Bawu", "Bill Clinton", etc. It's all because of Bouro Mpela, lol.

I think that Depitcho Savanet would have fitted well in Viva la Musica 'Cour des Grand' or Zaiko Langa Langa. In Viva la Musica, he would have defended the kitendi-ideology very well, because late Cele le Roi was on his own, since that Stino, Reddy and co weren't interested in La Sape. Papa Wemba himself was very dissapointed in them not really being into Sape and complaining about seeing  Adolphe Dominguez call himself "Le Grand Sapeur" while he's not from Viva la Musica.

Talking about the event of AGB Quartier Latin. The cassette is nowhere to find. It was a festival that reunited Papa Wemba, King Kester Emeneya and Général Défao at Stade Charletty (Salle Pierre Charpy). There's only a small extract of Wemba performing with Nouvelle Ecriture and Fioti Fioti on youtube, but that was part of the "Sur la Route de Bercy-cassette"

I remember Martin Sinnock writing the event it on his site and mentioning that there was a fight between Gina Efongé and the concertpromoter, because of him not having performed anymore, while he and Evoloko Lay  had to perform with their bands. Also that Emeneya and Wemba sung the song Kimpiatu together.
