The respect that I have for Francis, is that he was not into clashes towards his collegues or bandleaders, compared to other collegues of his generation. He did great interviews when he was active in Kinshasa. Many were not released on VHS and those that were released are very rare. I will never forget his famous interviews with JB Mpiana in 2003 (which brought JB some confidence back, after good reviews), also the ones he did with Emeneya in 2004 (to react against Bipoli an co) and 2005 about Maisha Parc. He fully deserved the prizes as best journalist of year (2004 & 2005). Even when he settled in Europe after getting poisned by a jealous collegue, he kept doing interviews which got released as "Course au Pouvoir"-series. He and Marc Tabu, had a big contribution in the G-5 Revolution. I think that this is also the reason why Fally and Ferre both paid tribute to him. He was with Marc Tabu among the ones that collaborated with Yves Kambemba and made Congomikili known in Europe and later co-founded Congobilili with him, which didn't last long.
I regret that he didn't got the chance to fully exploit his potential. When he settled in Europe, I thought that he would soon work at RFI or TeleSud like Jean Marie Kassamba in the past or maybe TV5 alongside late Amobé Mévégué, but it sadly didn't happened
He was one of the rare journalists that didn't try to humiliate Emeneya, when interviewing him, while collegues would argue with him or ask in a rude voice/way "why he was finished", "why he wasn't releasing his album", etc. I think that Francis was Emeneya's favorite Congolese journalist to do interviews with
