Mon Ami Guelord sounding like Bouro from his ultimatum days all the way to Sanction 1:08
Mirage who also sounded like a blend of Bouro and Mamale 1:17
DVD Musica who sounded like Lola Muana 2:32
Tati Stadard who sounded like Sam Tshintu 2:02
Dandy Kalalard who sounded like Modogo 2:50
And the drummer who was drumming similar to Champion.

Lol Lebou was a real QL through and through because he kept with the Latino sound even after leaving academia because in Viagra they still had the QL sound but formed their own sound but in Voodoo Lebou went back to basics

Even here DVD Musica sounds like a complete copy of Lola you’d think it’s him cause he’s even doing the goat noise.

this made me think about cnn's interview of few years ago,i wonder how would it be if the initial format of the band really started like that maybe they would have forced academia to keep on their toes

Yeah and when you listen to the album you can tell that Lebou tried to replicate the Academia Sanction line up by recruiting those singers with similar profile and also adding to replicate Mamale and Lola. The group would’ve stood a better chance if they had a singer with big charisma to be president of the group especially to rival Sam

Lol come on man be serious, You’re only saying that because the sebenes are longer in this album then the academia albums. But it’s no where near better half the songs aren’t even mixed properly and the sound isn’t up to par.
Artistically you can’t compare voodoo to Sanction and Viagra, the only thing I’ll give you is the sebene in voodoo is better than the sebene in Viagra and is much more aggressive.

Lol you got me, it’s mostly because of the sebene songs. For me, the sebene songs were better than in both sanction and especially Viagra. I do agree with you that the quality was better in those Academia albums. I might have to relisten to them to make sure. Sanction was great but it mostly felt like an extension to the Loi/Ultimatum albums and in Viagra they reverted into this weird monotonous sound that never really excited me, but it is still a good album. Voodoo has that sound that makes it seem original and dynamic if that makes sense.

I disagree with you completely lol. Sanction sounds more like a sequel to Droit de Veto with their own style rather than Ultimatum and Loi they don’t even sound the same it just has the same team without Koffi, Suzuki, Felly Tyson.
Viagra wasn’t monotonous at all they had their own style and they reached their artistic maturity.  You can’t expect every album to have super aggressive sebene lol. With Voodoo you can tell they were more focused on the sebene songs rather than the rhumbas because nearly all the sebene songs the sound was good but the rhumbas apart from one song all of them were mixed horribly.
Also a lot of the songs sounded like continuation of Sanction or left over songs from Sanction.

Honestly the only thing I didn’t like about this album was Chaleur animation’s. He sounded like a poor man’s copy of Somono.

Otherwise everything, especially Lebou’s guitar work was excellent

I hear what you're saying. Sanction feels like another version of droit de veto without being droit de veto(not really a sequel) if that makes sense. I agree with you on Viagra and them having their own style. I just value agressive sebene more becuase it's more memorable, that's why I said it's more monotonous compared to Sanction. I'll always remember 100 ans and the  Sanction generique, but I can't remember much from Viagra, other than parts of the generique.I do really like both play boy and ingratitude, so I may have contradicted myself lol. I also agree with you on the rhumba part.
