With Werra’s recent success at Adidas Arena and Koffi recently performing at ING Arena and also Fally doing a 6 arena tour are the days of artists performing at small venues now done? Because back in the days groups will tour in Europe and play at smaller venues like LSC, Bataclan, Madeline etc but nowadays it seems like artists especially of the caliber of Fally Ferre Werra Koffi are only interested in doing arenas and not smaller venues.

Even Fabregas has only performed once at Casino de Paris and hasn’t come back but he won’t do an Arena cause he knows he won’t sell out and even Heritier did dome de Paris and only filled half of the arena.
It seems like our artists won’t do concerts anymore unless it’s in an arena

yes,and this pretty much from when ferre became the second to perform after the combattants era, their rivalry set the bar very high for the rest well help with how congolese people love to stick like glue to something they discover until something else appears, you have to be someone marginal in the daily game like reddy for example to peacefully play at bataclan with no backlash over the size of the hall and so on
then you have cases like jb who refuse to do like others by force which might go for " normal" halls and face intense backlash
fabro really handed his career poorly, was humble when he was rising and it coincided with the start of combattants peaking then got confident with his series of hits and had that beef with koffi and fally then got arrogant and lost all the stars of his band
if fabro was having even just half of 10 ya match, materazzi, boutchou, ibra, but na filet, ceda ya mado,3 jours ,thierry mugler and co he'd stand a good chance to still have people buzzing to see him,but now he's grown an all time high ego and gives us complacent music

Ferre and Fally are the big dogs. The rest excluding Koffi, Werra and JB need to focus on the LSC, Bataclan, maybe even Olympia or Zenith. Nothing working with playing at your level , there’s weight classes in boxing for a reason. Even the big guns had to start off somewhere.

LSC doesn't exist anymore since the late 2000s. It got demolished. Most artists perform now at Dock Eiffel, when shows are planned in Saint-Denis.

I agree with Koffi, werrason and JB doing shows at Zenith, Olympia, etc. They could do really long shows there with a packed venue at the same time. Stop having big egos and worry about giving the fans good music and production. This in itself will create a new standard

The problem is that in Paris itself, since 2015, it has been forbidden to hold concerts after 11:00 p.m. due to the Bataclan I.S. terrorist attacks. So it's impossible for Congolese artists to perform 4–5 hour-long shows like they used to back in the day, unless they start around 4 or 5 p.m. For these reasons, Koffi’s show in Évry for Quartier Latin’s 39th anniversary will  start early.  But most people are still at work at that time or are returning home on that time.

For performing at l' Olympia, ever since the incidents with the combattants when Héritier planned in 2017 a concert there, the venue no longer wants Congolese artists from Kinshasa to perform. Several artists (Fabregas, Stino Mubi, Gaz Mawete, etc.) have tried to book shows there, but the management refused, fearing that the hall could be set on fire, like Elysee Montmartre in 2011, which was closed for like 5 years

The timing is a fair point but even to come out at 7/8pm would be normal no?

It's not just Paris but it's everywhere now there's a curfew before midnight. The other problem is about starting earlier is crowd timing especially black people timing is very bad, for example at Fally's U Arena you won't believe how long it took people to make their way to the venue especially the seated ones which forced Fally to not go out until enough people were indoors.
Because especially Congolese artists they won't start the show until they know almost everyone is inside because if they decide to just start performing whilst people are still making their way in they will know rival groups will mock them and start spreading rumours that they eventually started selling tickets for cheap at the door or were giving away free tickets etc.

So it really is a strategy to start late. Makes sense since so many people just care to spam “mpkaia” or however you spell it. And on top of that we now we have a curfew. Lol even when we finally get concerts back in France, there is always some new obstacle that restricts us from going back to our glory days.
