Today, I finally took the time to listen to Doudou Copa’s first album, and I noticed that the song Libala has the same refrain as Noces de Bois from Extra Musica’s album La Main Noire. That made me wonder whether Doudou Copa stole the song from Roga Roga and was originally meant to sing it on an upcoming album, or if he actually wrote it himself and Extra Musica ended up using it.

Speaking of Doudou Copa’s first album, it’s garbage. I don’t understand why people considered him the new Koffi or compared him to Roga Roga. It would’ve been much better if he had recorded the album with real professionals. I haven’t listened to his second album yet, but honestly, I’m not motivated to do so anymore

I remember back in 2011 or 2012, when I started watching Brazza interviews, Sonor Digital claimed that Doudou Copa had used some of his songs on his first album. But I don’t know if that was true or just said to create some polemique, since that Roga Roga and Doudou Copa were beefing

Speaking of Doudou Copa - he’s looks completely different nowadays. I’ve been rooting for his full comeback but he’s let himself go a bit health wise which makes it tougher

yeah unfortunately a stroke and "half" plus massive drinking smoking addiction which continued even after doctors put him on restriction ruined his potential for me he could have been a proper leader combining rumba and sebene and having a strong name in africa but he just allowed himself to age faster,when you see that even koffi who only has his way of walking emergeing as a clear sign of ageing or werra who are both 10+ years older....
