So I recently watched this video and wow Congolese people were so creative back then (Ndombolo, Koyimbiko, Tshaku Libonda and so many more) I’d say there’s a huge difference in creativity with the modern Congolese dances

And I also think it’s quite unfortunate the creaters of these dances didn’t really get much bread from the success of these dances. I think it’s really unfair on them while the leaders of the bands get all the spotlight

the system around our music is extremely leader centered,and this generation of the internet era has made it a million times worse,which is paradoxal because they make top dollar way faster than the elders
