Back in the days, when Kibuisa Mpimpa came out, people saw the song Kibuisa Mpimpa as an attack on JB Mpiana and a response to Accapella. But if you remove Werra’s last line (the one about how, according to him, Blaise Bula, Alain Makaba, and JB Mpiana were hoping he would struggle in life) after Ferré’s vocal, and really pay attention to the rest of the lyrics, the song actually sounds more like a response to Marie Paul’s Jalousie than to Accapella, when comparing both songs. Also, when looking at the situation at that time, Marie Paul slowly losing popularity, his reputation of being close to witchdoctors, the many interviews and his claims that Werrason was jealous of him, while it actually felt more like the opposite.
Because when you listen to Acapella, it’s JB Mpiana singing about how a large part of the public hated him back in 1999 and how he didn’t understand what he had done wrong. He also indirectly mentions how Adolphe Dominguez and Werrason were happy with him in Wenge 4x4 because of his hit songs (Mulolo, Kin é Bouge and Hi Ho Ha New Image), but later became his enemies.
