Zimbabwe did once an interview about his career, about how he started dancing for Maray Maray's band Rumba Ray, coming with the dance 'Nduekele'. Also how he got stuck in Zambia and  dated a police-officer, who made him get papers in Zambia, the way he  joined Nouvelle Ecriture from there, the way he managed to perform at Zenith 1999, etc. It was an intresting interview but I can't find it anywhere on youtube. I believe that I also posted it once on Congovibes.




The way he danced on the Fula Ngenge-demo which was in the cassette "Cycle de Verité΅ was very funny. I will never forget his solo-performance at Zenith 2000. I first always thought that he and New Jack were brothers. According to different bandmembers of Nouvelle Ecriture, Quartier Latin and Maison Mère, some musicians were fearing him, because he was apparently very strong and was sometimes involved in fights, during those confrontations in nightclubs and bars between those bands. I

It makes you realize how many of our legends still die young and impoverished despite traveling the world, making history for the genre... it's really sad!

He was one of the choreographers that had a true “gimmick” as King Kester RIP used to say. Mwalimu, Bakala dia Kuba, stade de martyrs (sans oublier Somo Trop) were were very unique compared to what the Wenges and QL were doing in the era

It’s sad that pretty much all of the Nouvelle Ecrita key alumni have passed away relatively young and destitute, some in mysterious circumstances 

yeah really sad ceda synthe,azoze,now him,alpa,iboss zimbabwe was among the rare dancers who had a very distinctive style just like late mulala aswell you did not even need to see the face to know its them
on a side note,still indirectly about nouvelle ecrita just saw that singer gianni caluggi who almost joined them back in the days also passed away
