This is my first post, I don't know if this is where I should be posting etc...

Idk if it's just me, but seriously, I lowkey hate Fally's new style. It's too modern.. too french, I miss his Droit Chemin and Arsenal de belle melodies style, not Deux Ètres.. or whatever it's called.

Honestly, I feel like our rumba is going down.. Koffi is still there, but he's also very modern, and Cindy isn't helping.

Fally's talented.. but this frenchisation is slowly deteriorating Congolese music, we need more Lingala, Kikonho, Tshiluba.

In my opinion of course but, I'm tired, and this generation (not the Koffi's, Fally, Ferré... but younger G's teens and younger adults) aren't really into that. Back in the day you had 16 yr olds making excellent music e.g Bebe Kero, today miziki ekomi pamba pamba, to lembi...

I’m a huge huge fally fan, and I agree too much monotony… since he release “Oriengo” he’s gone in that type of style with heavy synthesizers from Alex Shua… Don’t get me wrong Formule 7 was definitely a breathe for fresh air in terms of versatility, but he’s definitely crossed over into the French urban market, that’s why we got tokooos, etc etc. Now his new album”XX” will be a balance of both.

thats the inconvenient of mainstream artists, once you get there, you are no longer fully on your raw internal artistic expression, you develop a "what you like to do" type from what the industry expects from you,he gives a good "impression" still with it because it meets a bit of his preferences of childhood but we as purists will notice what we notice
trying to align to mainstream artists has destroyed even more most of the other stars, somebody like koffi has forgotten that its possible to do a hard hitting or fluid generique or sometimes serious tchatcho because he has to try to stay in the semi electronic trend, remember for example how painful it was to ears fabregas' first attempts to do "open to the mainstream" after his first album in between that and the ya mado and co era, then he restarted a little bit,and it has ever since dented his own generique identity by trying to always include some flavour of that

This is exactly what I was saying in another thread about his recent concerts a few months ago, though some disagreed with me.

there's a Yoruba adage that says, "When your belly is full, you can do whatever you want." Fally is no longer hungry for fame. He's there already. He's no longer counting few money notes, he's got plenty of money now. so why try to please the people? I'm sure there have to be people in his camp who can advise him on what the fans want, but Fally does what he wants these days.

I think we should wait.. he is still finishing his new album and preparing stade de france show. I see alot if negative comments to his concert in abidjan and i understand it because its the same show since defense arena, which was 2023 and he are now in 2026.
Another thing is there is no other congelese artist who is threating Fallys position right now
