This has been on my mind for about a week now. Fiston Manisa on Parlons Sports (which has became one of my go to YouTube shows over the past couple months) said that DRC coach Desabre should do a press conference when announcing his team for the playoff match. Desabre didn’t do that instead the Congolese FA just posted a list of the selected players. And I feel like he should have done a press conference so explain himself why he selected and did not select certain players. Because me personally I don’t like that list at all.
But you have USMNT coach Mauricio Pochettino and Brazil national team coach Carlo Ancelotti doing press conferences and even taking questions from the media.
Like Fiston Manisa said, DRC is Desabre’s first big coaching role so he should treat it as such and VK said if he was coaching a big European national team coach he wouldn’t do such a thing. I feel like Desabre should explain himself to the Congolese people on his decisions, he owes the fans that at least.
