Nouvelle Ecriture was supossed to join them a few days prior to the event but they apparently missed their flight after getting problems with the DGM who was blocking them in Kinshasa. Then on the day of the show they finally arrived, but without drummer Deo Sfr and Thierry Mogratana. So they had to rehearse the whole day with Maradona and Dezay who stayed in Europe after the previous Europe-tour, to have some cohesion and also to show Papa Wemba, the show they prepared in Kinshasa.

People weren't believing that they would come because they were saying it every year and over the years events would always getting cancelled. The event was a big flop and not many people showed up and weren't aware they arrived. As, back in the days bands would in the days before the event often go to the known restaurants and bars of Paris to let people know that they were already in Europe to make the people sure. It's also the reason why wrote on the poster of the following event at Theatre du Gymanse Marie-Bel "Toza deja sur le Terrain". To let the people know that they are already in Europe
Wenge BCBG already arrived a few days prior to the Bercy-event, but the PPU's arrived the same day with some staffmembers and ngulu's. They met Academia at the airport when they arrived and the musicians of Academia were mocking them, not knowing that they would not return back to Europe anymore
