In response to Academia, if Koffi made sure the core members of Quartier Latin were registered under SACEM to receive legal credit for songs they placed on group albums like Force de Frappe to Danger de Mort, do you think their loyalty and hard work would drop? Why even bother making group albums if you're not interested in paying people what is publicly announced as "their composition".

The irony is that if group members were allowed to collect royalties from their songs on SACEM, they wouldn't be so dependent on salaries. The quarterly risiduals and gifts from donors would be enough to live well in-between concerts, it takes pressure off of the boss to always pay them.
