I explained to him that the setting Congolese music had changed since the late 2000s,  that the majority of youngsters in Kinshasa now are fans of Fally and that if Fally just communicate to his fans that he will arrive x or y day, he will receive a triumphal return. now fally and ferre have both given a bit of what jb and werra used to do in kinshasa,long may it continue,all those "international" things become much more powerful with a strong kinshasa presence aswell

Just look at the audience of JB Mpiana and Werrason concerts today, the crowd is older (which isn't a bad thing) but the fanatics that will block traffic to celebrate an artist's return tends to be the youth and Fally has them! If I want to see beautiful women at a concert, I'm going to a Fally or Ferre event than JB or Werra today

Hence why I said Europe tours are dead now, the fact that Fally came back after stade de France, if this was in the 90s and 2000s he would’ve stayed in Europe up until October for the London 02 Concert. Koffi has been in Europe for a while especially since ING he’s been there more than Africa and he could’ve had multiple Europe concerts but he didn’t do it because he knows people will get bored quickly.

it is amazing how everything from then has changes/fallen down,there is no more congolese promoters who can handle "the bare minimum" of them tours which were 2 big concerts then normal ones or semi-prestigious like how lsc became(which would equal to zenith olympia now),there is not anymore the shegues feeding the music from the underground in terms of animation,catchprases,gimmicks,the level of improvised donorship the fans of groups were doing has also dropped a lot due to generation shift,bad experiences the remaining guys had with koffi wemba werra jb and co
now we have  a vast majority of fans who only are okay with the prestigious concert straight away and onto the next months after,i think deep down even fally that series he had at some point was mainly in order to complete in time to go for the stade de france which would require months of focus otherwise he'd also do one two max here and there every 6 months
its really like the whole culture around our music on the biggest stage has changed,now even the sapeurs show would be considered cringe or amateur/lack of professionalism(haha congolese and their taste of hanging on new words they learned)
must also be a global thing lol nowadays wingers in football are praised a lot more for their ability to defend like dogs than to driblle and slap it in the goal(hello martinelli lol)

That's why recent tours feel like an "all-or-nothing" approach, the artist must project the image of a global superstar, even if the arena isn't entirely packed to the rafters.
