this era was something,this is a wazekwa album and not a group album but there was probably half of the songs which were nasdaq and joss songs which he'd add his parts to or mix  their songs into one,almost every group of that era had a leader album which had band members songs credited to the leader,without even being like a kibens an "unofficialy official" massive private writer
for example logique which soleil claims,le vent du soir which is a song ferre took from rumba des jeunes for kibuisa and so on

In my opinion, the Felix Wazekwa should have arranged and credited the music in the way of Wenge El Paris or Kumbela. The lead singer is the president of the group (Marie Paul & Aimé Buanga) who has the half of songwriting credit per album, but give your singers and instrumentalists their own songs for the remaining tracks and give them space to really express their vocal range.



This was actually what I would have preferred they approached the vocal arrangement for each song going forward because Yo Nani and Et Apres suffered from Felix trying to sing lead on all songs despite some requiring a strong tenor like (Cheri B, Ceden Play, or Joss Diena) or baritone (Nasdaq Vicky, FBI De Niama, or Lisha Shombo). I understand he was trying to catch up with Werrason, JB Mpiana, and Koffi within 2-3 albums but he sacrificed a lot of good rhumbas by making his voice the core of the arrangement.

Do you guys understand what I'm saying? Hopefully it makes sense.

exactly i think the same time,and the thing is he did that trying to sing higher which is not his natural range,i dont recall somebody ever calling him a bad singer when he was fully under control of souzy and co  and singing his natural "koffi like" deep

The obsession that Congolese artists had for Paris made them forget that London is also a great place to shoot videoclips. Apart from Felix Wazekwa and Modogo Gianfranco Ferre in Piccaddily, who else shot clips in London ? Except the song Strategie. I liked the locations Sun Vision choose to shoot clips in Kinshasa.

I'm so used to see Hono Kapanga with dreads, that it was weird to see him without it during the clip of Vidal

Seeing Wazekwa with the cane again (which was like his identity from the Bonjour Monsieur till Yo Nani ?)  made me remember his interview with Thierry Kabundi, where he explained that he stopped using it, because of a woman saying that it made him look like a witchdoctor hahahaha

Adolphe shot the clip of Calendrier in London for Affaire Tonya Tonya. Reddy Amisi also filmed the Ziggy clips in London. 

You're right I totally forgot about it. Reddy also recorded a part of the Compteur a Zero-clips at London. But it was not that Adolphe and Reddy were shooting clips at Buckingham Palace or Tower Bridge, like Wazekwa did compared to the way Congolese artists recorded a record-amount of clips at Eiffel Tower, Stade de France and La Defense in Paris

It remind of the way how my cousin was convinced that Wazekwa was part of a sect, for the way Wazekwa had the gesture of having the left hand behind the crane and one in front, when coming on stage or greeting artists or journalists

Of all the various generations of Cultural Pays Vie, which was your favorite? Mine was the team of Et Apres. Guylain Esamba, Jose Senga, and Ceden Play were underrated. You could tell after Faux Mutual Moko Boye, it was just the generiques that were carrying the group, as much as I respect the group. I think Wazekwa should of begin grooming Eclipse to take over by the start of 5eme, because that's where the overall industry changed and they hit a ceiling.

unfortunately they happened to be at the worst time where wazekwa was being influenced to act like his peers so they peaked before the salary system was put in place by 2005 and the progressively removed from 2011

To be honest. I didn't knew bandmembers of Cultura Cultura Pays Vie well. I just knew Joss Diena, Gessac, Papy Louange, Hono Kapanga and the other solist who had tournesol as nickname (I forgot his name). There was one singer I just knew because of his face who had often braided hair as a woman.

Ceden Play took my attention in Et Apres because I saw him as Soleil Wanga's copycat, but I didn't knew his name at that era. I already knew Pitshou Concordre because he came from Academia. Gabanna I only knew his face. It's only when he joined Quartier Latin that I discovered his name. For years I thought that Eclipse name was Soweto until I think the generique of Mosapi Liboso. I was always hearing Nasdaq's name but I never knew who he was. The same for Doudou Tcheke until he started to do interviews, which made me discover that he was a drummer.
