25 years wow, it’s hard to wrap my head around the ages of the genre’s great albums now and the time that has passed since the scene was at it’s peak.

Mid-2001 - 2002 was glorious period; I was listening to Trop C’est Trop earlier which is also turning 25 and that album still has a wow factor that any of the Extra’s have never matched since.

I still wonder how many donors were pissed about all the names he butchered across the album.  One can say it was rookie mistakes being his first official album

i understand how well respected and loved this album is but i from the first spin to me it feels like werra is just getting carried vocally thru out the project by his band who makes alot of the song more interesting with exception of 13 ans, blandine and waka waka other than that the album wouldve been better without him lol

That’s the hard truth that for years would get you beaten up by WMM fans. For almost any other artist it would’ve forcibly been considered a group album. All songs written by other composers. Imagine the shit Koffi would have gotten if Effrakata had the same structure. 

We need a detailed parcours with Al Nzimbi hopefully one day - he was working overtime in the studio to make Kibuisa and A la queue leu leu legendary - to the point he was visibly annoyed in the sessions trying to organize everyone and get Werra to hit the vocal notes

on the credits it says he compsed all of the songs so thats interesting if there was a ghost composer but i do think that werra is a showman and his band from back then til now is on point live so much so i rather go to werra concert then a koffi show

Like with JB Mpiana on his solo-albums Feux de l'Amour and T.H., there were different ghostwriters (Nkuman, Senado, Bourman Idolo, late Pascal Poba and Serge Mabiala) that wrote songs for Werrason on Kibuisa Mpimpa



Here Nkuman explaining how he gave Obiang, Kibuisa Mpimpa, Ntimba Mboté and Prince au Congo to Werrason. In the many interviews that Senado made to attack Werrason for his little brother Shai Ngenge, he claimed to have written Fair Play for him. Celeo claims that Serge Mabiala that gave Tave Katanga to Werrason. But the same Serge Mabiala says that he's behind Blandine and 13 Ans. However, Bourman says that he was the man behind 13 Ans.You  have also Didier Lacoste who claims that done 13 Ans and sayign that different songs from Kibuisa Mimpa are his songs from SVP la Gamme. I remember also that late Pascal Poba claimed to have written Blandine Pemba for Werrsaon next to Chantal Switserland. Qui dit Vraie ? Everyone  like to credit something to himself when it's a succes

One of the greatest albums in Congolese music history. I rate this and Effrakata as the two best albums to me.
