I wish Koffi swallowed his pride and did this concert in a more intimate salle. Even with the narrow configuration basically no one aside from his hardcore fans and supporters showed up.

People are saying that Wazekwa is no longer on the hook for mpiaka na poto ;D

It wasn’t that bad loool, still a decent turn out. I think because it was on a Sunday and also because of the history of Koffi’s concerts getting cancelled it all played a huge part in it as well.

People really underestimate what happens behind the scenes before 99 per cent of the concerts koffi has had  since concerts are back
we all agree that he has his share of responsability  with things like how he could have made young people spontaneously come more regardless of anything around by manageing quartier latin better and things like that,or maybe handle better the relationship with the two new kings of the game
the least threatened concert koffi had was the arena paris sud latino anniversary where people were still actively counting empty seats while saying that it was a too small hall for his level, all the rest was spammed with all sorts of dark campaigns, thousands of letters and call and all that and being saved by him building a friendship with the owners and having an influent congolese guy backing him up,who he'd always thank during those concerts
people have been saying a lot of things which contradict each other when you deep it its normal as a star of his magnitude people will obviousy not think the same and regardless of hall packed or not it will contribute to attention around him,but lets not pretend he did that concert with the biggest positivity around him people were literally throwing parties  when there was the dodgy things about tickets few days after the announcement
this concert could have been the start of something new in our mentality in giving our OG's a good sendout to motivate them to progressively step out and be in the non-competitive uniting position we pretend to want them to be,just like werra's few days before but those concerts continue to be deeply affected by polemic and stuff like that
i am willing to bet with anybody that the day koffi dies,if brussels or paris allow the stadiums for tributes for three days,we'll see massive crowds because that mentality of retrospectively loving people is still going too strong, even the "non conflictual" pepe ndombe, lutumba or even the overall pacific version of bokul got way more love in funerals than in last years of their lives
lets be honest with it,most of us here if people are constantly spamming your ears with what a person you have deep issues(and this one with the other artist that is constantly mentioned when talking about him is one of deepest he's ever hard in his 5 decades troublesome career) with did that "you cant do" sooner or later even if you dont have ego an instinct will kick in to try to prove yourself, and in koffi case he has ego and anything behind plenitude/la defense arena would have been seen as not good enough
all things considered it was always gonna be tricky unless you fix all can lie upon internal responsability of him cindy quartier latin and then accept to put yourself in a trap by playing a game for the best interest of your show because until maybe 5 more generations it was not going to be those ready to give you hell at any opportunity who would say "ceasefire lets give this monumental legend his due tribute" then we restart our war in daily chats later if needed

Happy Birthday Le Grand Mopao

Damn this was bad, Koffi had a great a career. He should just end it and maybe give QL to Cindy or let them do their own thing. I really thought he would’ve filled the stadium out. Like how does someone with Koffi’s stature do a mpiaka like that?? The younger Fally fans really making fun of him is sad.
Or moto asala le monde eza yo Nzambe tata, Kita okata po mokili trop matata, kata- Fally Ipupa

because this is the mentality that nobody has decided to fight against, and its even worse with stadiums,if you perform in stadiums you have to have both the stands and the pitch full to extent that people can barely breathe
for koffi's concert  if people are honest  he did not abandon his tradition of handleing spicy questions knowing it will make headlines, saw him have a different approach insisting more on celebration than crowd and all that, but it still lied under that logic,it was koffi's birthday party/slight probable last major sendout but people are mocking mpiaka while in reality its partly themselves who refused to turn up because he gets on their nerves about fally or about ferre  and stuff like that
you could see for example comedian hans luzolo who was invited by koffi there and associated to promotion of the event but still found no shame at all in shaming koffi indirectly with a skit about people  not listening and still wanting to do big things when age is not on their side
no wonder quartier latin is the only group more or less consistent in celebrating anniversaries,we dont have that culture of celebrating people for the sake of celebrating koffi was lucky that in the last major latino anniversary people had lost interest in fikin concerts otherwise people would have asked for those mad crowds of prime ndombolo era where you struggle to see where the crowd even ends

Thanks for the explanation! Appericiate.  We need to change this behavior. I will watch the concert on the weekend but i won‘t expect a stade de france quality. Its the same that won‘t expect a Travis Scott show at a Nas concert
