Was it just too competitive at the time between the branches of Wenge for there to be BCBG, Masion Mere, and Tonya Tonya? Because they had to also contend with the orchestra of Papa Wemba and Koffi Olomide Olomide as well.

I feel like Felix Wazekwa put a self-imposed ceiling on potential of Cultural Pays Vie by refusing to play the politics of the industry, which cost him Stade de Martyrs and other prestigious concerts in Europe until Olympia. But by then, 5eme was already going and that was pretty much his plateau of popularity

Extra Musica Nouvel Horizon never recovered since the first wave of defections (Willo, Bonbon Rouge, Ben Mambrik, and FBI Sosa Mambu). Who knows if Zaparo is coming back? I think they'll be around, but they definitely lost momentum that the new recruits couldn't reclaim.

After Olympia, many musicians were unhappy about not being paid for the tour and wanted to stay in Europe. Just before returning to Kinshasa, there were rumors that some musicians were planning to run away. At the same time, different spokespeople in Kinshasa were making noise about the event that had to take place at  Stade des Martyrs. However, rumors started to circulatethat the show might be cancelled, as Adolphe had lost some of his aura/hype.

Lacoste then returned to Kinshasa with the musicians, while Adolphe stayed behind in Europe to look with staffmembers for the musicians who had run away. But he sadly returned to Kinshasa on his own

The Stade des Martyrs concert ended up by getting cancelled, which caused Adolphe to lose even more of his aura. They performed at GHK, but according to the press, the concert flopped. The same was said about the concerts that followed in Brazzaville.

Several articles were  published in the following weeks claiming that things were not going well for Tonya Tonya. There were also reports people weren't showing up to the public rehearsals like it was before the Europe tour.

Lacoste then left somewhere in September 2002 to rejoin Werrason. Around the same time, Adolphe recruited three dancers from Koffi Olomidé, which I believe was an attempt to counter the buzz surrounding Lacoste’s departure. He also contacted Jordan Kusa to join, but Jordan refused.At the same time , there rumors about Washington joining Quartier Latin (which also happened later). However, none of this really changed the situation of Wenge T.T.. Around the same period, many people who had been part of Adolphe’s circle also returned to Maison Mère like Lacoste. It was like they cursed Adolphe
