So you support the combattants? Yes,all leaders are selfish but who plays in Europe or not is not down to the combattants who are basically just terrorists, no one in their right frame of mind should support individuals who cause terror. There are many ways to resolve conflicts, what the combattants are doing is pure cowardice, kabila was in Paris, they did fuckall to him, he's the main culprit not the people kabila pays like JB to sing songs for him.

I feel for Mboka Liya, he made the right move by remaining in Europe and he's done well to shame both JB and Werra.

Jb, koffi and all the other artists who sang for Kabila should be ashamed at there self for singing for a evil man like kabila. Even though I don't agree with their practices, I do not blame the combattants for banning concerts and albums in Europe and abroad. The artists should know that kabila is public enemy number 1 among most Congolese. So singing for him is a big NO.  

I wrote my part on this part which was quite long but dont know how it was not posted
but in short,politics is too complex to be treated only with emotion anger and things like that
after taking a long time to rethink everything,things appear different and the responsible are not who we like attacking
congo and overall africa are in a difficult situation but the main responsible do not live in africa
then its just easy to be angry on those people who are put at the front by them(the presidents,and then the musicians president use for their campaign)
it makes people forget very easily where the problem actually comes from,the presidents who are used as toys are promised a long reign in return of their natural ressources,and musicians or any type of people who could potentially go against the system are kept under control with money and with possibility of repression aswell if judged necessary
it would be a bit naive to think those guys and other artists from other countries are friends of presidents and see them everyday and agree with all the president do

Guys, I know what you're saying is probably out of anger and because of the continuous debate about the combattants and Congolese politics.

I will not say much but I will end by saying you have choice too by supporting the combattants who are at war with musicians, I do not blame you entirely because you do not know what democracy is,you've never experienced democracy in africa infact I should say Congo,the richest nation in Africa where natural resources are concerned is still at war and has never really been independent even after the exit of the Belgians.

You have a long way to go as a country and you have a lot to learn about democracy. The democracy the combattants are enjoying in foreign countries like France,America and Belgium was fought for by others, those who fought did their deed and are now enjoying for their sweat, do not let combattants to disrupt their peace by fighting against Congolese politicians and musicians on foreign soil, real fighters of democracy are those experiencing the hard life in Congo,it is where combattants need to go and fight head on with Kabila.

Look at the example of Nelson Mandela,Kenneth Kaunda, Laurent Kabila,Mugabe and others, they faced the oppressors head on, that's what combattants need to do.

back on purely what mboka said, i notice that 99 per cent of the time an ex musician of a band is interviewed its always one or two minutes on a few good minutes then half an hour on the bad memories,and they are always the victims
in my whole life,i have never seen a former band member admitting he did something wrong except those who are begging for a return
and their strategy works wonderfully as most congolese people are too passionate and love reacting based on feelings of the moment,so it develops hatred or anger towards the leaders as can be seen in the commentsof various videos,and it makes people forget that those guys are not perfect either
whenever musicians go there will be good and bad moments,especially in our system of groups with a leader and with no real professional structure
and the first responsible of that is ministry of culture who has set zero policy for groups except sending people at musicians' concert to collect money as a return of authorization to perform
and also all those guys who claim they are mistreated no paid and all that,why almost none of them do better than  their former leaders when they go solo
and i am certain that if there is a law set today or tomorrow that every musician deserves 1000 dollars a month and should give up on begging and mabanga most will refuse,if not all
the whole system of congolese music is not well organised,from the street or house groups to the biggest groups

Mboka Liya's story is well balanced, he's shown the evil and good sides of people like JB Mpiana and surprisingly he's full of praise and respect for Alain Makaba even going to the extent of saying  it was Makaba who made Wenge Musica as the arranger and that's a fact, I don't think Didier Masela as founder played much of a role and it could explain the rift that was there with Werra and Masela on one side opposing Makaba,JB and not wanting anything to do with newere musicians for instance Mboka Liya says Werrason never wanted to be on stage when it was Mboka Liya playing lead as he Mboka Liya was recruited by JB Mpiana who Werrason probably considered as an outsider in the band he and Masela founded.

yeah when success arrived things became strange between them,mboka did not mention that blaise and werra almost fought aswell over solo albums after pentagone tour,from them the camps where created clearly blaise supported jb and even gave him his own songs and did not talk anymore to werra and masela
adolphe was the only one having good relationship with two camps
and indeed like mboka said if it was makaba who was the charismatic leader of the band there would have been no split as he had long term vision for the group
lol seems like mboka does not appreciate ficarré since that incident at his test where ficarré refused to give his guitar,and similar stuff happened in anti terro studio sessions aswell
mboka rates makaba very highly and appreciates him a lot,once he was even asked who are his models he said rowy tshimpaka and makaba
surprisingly nice to know that instead of bad competition between such great soloists they actually complimented each other
most of titanic album was done by mboka and japonais but he allowed makaba to reproduce it in studio

The Ficarré issue was a bit of surprise, didn't know about it, I think Ficarré knew he would be playing second fiddle to Mboka Liya hence the animosity.
I also didn't understand the part where he said Blaise Bula wanted to beat up Didier Masela, did I hear right about that one?
