You can tell that he is influenced by fally. they have a similar delivery but they have a different rhythm about them. you can tell he also is trying to have his own style though. he doesn't sound like just an imitation.

he definitely sounds like he tries to remain humble. this is the first interview i've really was able to understand what he's saying (my lingala has really improved! ). i'm interested to hear what his music would sound like outside of maison mere.

Yes I'm with you on that, just like Fally, Ferre etc. we wanted to hear what they will be like outside their respective groups.

No, it was Rolly 'Ngwanzou' Mayemba, he's the one that used to sing all of Fally's lines when Fally left, I never saw Deplik sing even one line, it was always Rolly or Mon Ami Guellor and maybe that's why Deplik decided to join Maison Mere.

There was a time I used to think Deplik used to copy Fally but no, their speaking voice is also the same, the same goes for Boguys Bompema, he sounds like Fally expect his style is different and sometimes he adds an Asian touch to his vocals especially if you listen to him on songs on the album Anti Terro, listen to songs like Vicky Nsongi,Guy Mbuala etc

some things you can not avoid (sounding alike) i agree with you that they have a different style over all but you can see a little bit of fally influence when he first came on the scene. maybe its not so much that he is influenced but they have similar styles with a variation. now that i am learning he was with quartier latin for a short while it is hard to say.

it is he, fabregas and cafe rhoum entering maison mere that caught my attention to werrason. i am late to congolese music. i grew up hearing it but it wasn't until 6 or 7 years ago that i started listening to and exploring it on my own. i stumbled upon a youtube clip of the 3 of them singing and i have been in love (figuratively as these guys a way younger than me lol) ever since!

i am always happy to hear a song with any of them singing solo or together.

Thank you DJ SLY for informing me about Rolly Mayemba. The debate whether someone is copying the other to me should not be the case because you realize over the time musicians have been having similarities even in facial and physic. Just like Ahakmed Jahn and Koffi just like this new guy who was tested at Zamba Zamba that sing like Bula its their style no imitation.
