Nothing to do with whose own or off,it's the way the way the music is being arranged by Werra, it's more rhythm based, it started from malewa when the rhythm went more traditional so the sound engineer has to put more gain on output of the rhythm guitar amp when it's time for the traditional part where the solo guitar is paused.

In the first clip you can hear Werra calling out Flamme to mute the lead and let the rythm take over, this was before Malewa.
