Now If Mugabe wins, will Morgan accept the job of Prime Minister again?.....lets watch this space....meanwhile, I have a feeling the west wanted Zimbabweans to rise against each other so that they could do something..you can sense the mind control on the controlled media...

Personally,i would never vote for anyone who is over 60 years old,i fail to understand why our people in Africa choose such leaders as Mugabe.

It's so unfortunate that such an old and frail man can manage to convince educated people like you,i would never pay attention to people like Mugabe who have outlived their usefulness,the man has been in power for over 30 years,it's not normal,that's abuse of democracy and you and I know he didn't win clean.
Tsvangirai pissed off tose who are meant to help him ie the security Chiefs,those are the ones that ensure the old man returns to power,they do all it takes to ensure that.

Sly, I know your frustration regarding leaders like Mugabe...but his policies for the people are meant to empower them...try to ask Werra De Zimbabwe to comment about these elections and the future of his country...I guess he understands Zimbabwe better. You see, Africa or Zimbabwe can stand up on its own, but the stupid sanctions are meant to make people look at Mugabe as a bad leader and rise against him.....on the other side, allowing a puppet to lead, only empowers countries outside Africa (you know which) which is detrimental....

Yes, Mugabe has overstayed but the Zimbabweans are better now than to have a puppet in power...

EMO mudala,i was with DJ Werra de Zim last sunday at a BBQ and we briefly touched this subject,he was busy DJ'ing so we didn't finish discussing but from what you are saying and what he said,the problem Zimbabweans have is lack of sharp opposition leaders in Zambia who are able to command respect from the people and oppose and worry Mugabe successfully because the people have lost confidence in Tsvangirai who they believe is a sell out and a womaniser etc and just like in Zambia,it seems the ruling party in Zimbabwe capitalises on the rural vote,those in urban areas are full of apathy and therefore only a minority actually vote,the rest just talk and critize,it is also possible that the ruling govts rigs elections in rural areas because they have the means to touch all places using state machinery whilst the opposition only concentrate in urban areas.

I do not care about Mugabe's ideologies,the fact still remains he's overstayed,he's been in power for over 30 years and he's 89 years for crying out loud,you mean there are no better people with fresh ideas to take over from him.

The West do not want and cannot want anything in Zimbabwe,they only rose up to defend the former white farmers who were being hacked to death,their farms and other property burnt etc because they refused to share their land. I think the issue could have been resolved better not sending militia to kill and destroy and that's where Mugabe lost it,it's not that the west want to grab Zimbabwe or loot any of it's resources,it was a call for dialogue and justice in order to solve the land issues.

EMO,i repeat, there is nothing of importance in Zimbabwe that the west would want,they would have already intervened by now. It's Mugabe who has managed to brainwash even the most well learned Zimbabweans  that the west will go and grab the little diamonds they've discovered in Zimbabwe.
Those companies which want to explore for minerals in Zimbabwe are private companies and the govt of Zimbabwe has the last word on who comes in and who will not,the govts of Britain,America ,France cannot dictate to Zimbabweans which investors they bring in.
It is also a well known fact that all those mines in Zimbabwe are run by a small clique including security chiefs and that's how they've managed to have a grip on power and they will do all it takes to push their agenda and that of that old man.

Just like Zambia,what would the west want from Zambia,we have multi national companies like Glencore etc exploiting Africa, did they go to Zambia and force themselves on Zambians or it's our stupid former short leader who took them on board and was getting kickbacks.

The current PF govt of Zambia has been the worst so far in Zambia,their human rights record is pathetic and now they are trying to cut your press freedom and access to information by blocking websites and jailing journalists who criticise them and expose their dirty deals, opposition MP's have not been spared, Hon Gary Nkombo was arrested on fake charges and detained for a quite a while,he was eventually released after the state failed to prove their tramped up charges against him so if the western govts start speaking ill of the current govt you say they west want to take over Zambia and loot its resources yet we can see what is going on politically.

Secondly, Zimbabwe is a landlocked country and to intervene militarily, you need approval from surrounding nations and AU...which cant happen...the war can de-stabilize Central and Southern Africa....For Gadaffi, he had a coast around him and near Europe, so it was easy to go in.....

Police have raided the house of Human Rights Activist Brebner Changala looking for anything illegal.

This is in the ongoing suppression of free speech and harassing of citizens holding political opinions parallel to those of the ruling party.

The police stormed Changala’s house in Kabwata this (Wednesday) morning and were by 07 : 30 hours still searching.

The police include officers from the highly politcised Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC), the OP  and Regular police.

The issue of chemical weapons in Syria is true,we've seen video footage of people being treated in state hospitals etc just the same way we saw footage of people in Iraq who Saddam attacked with chemical weapons which he probably later destroyed.

When the western govts militarily intervene in affairs of foreign nations,it's because they've done a cost benefit analysis,if there is nothing in it for them,they will stay at home whether the country is landlocked or not. If there was something significantly important in Zim,the western govts would have used Zimbabwe's neighbours by offering them ''goodies'' in form aid etc in order to use their space and attack Zimbabwe and get out Mugabe or they would have funded militia and given military equipment to the opposition in Zim to fight against Mugabe's men but they've seen that it's not worth it,military intervention is very costly and if there is nothing in return they don't see the point of intervening.

What will save Zimbabwe is near,for an African,Mugabe is close to his expiry date,he's not got long to live that's why people wait patiently for the natural to occur.

And this is right? This is why I say, its all dominance and the hate for leaders that stand against them....if we hold up together and stop this puppet thing, Africa can progress...

Just to wage in this discussion gentlemen, I concur with dj Sly sentiments.If at all Mugabe has Zimbabwe at heart as Emo claims then what is the difference that now he has led that nation for near to 4 decades? its so sad to see a generation of well educated people just brain washed like this in Africa. Here in Kenya we just elected two gentlemen with serious crime cases against them but their tribes men and women are arguing the same way EMO is talking, they say the charges are pure fiction planned by the west so as to enable former prime minister Raila Odinga to win elections. Its so sad at times to be an African.Just 3 months after elections Kenya is now faced by several challenges and the living standards have started going up. In Africa elections are only meant to settle either tribal or clans m scores.
What we are saying EMO is that there is what we call democracy and for one man to rule a nation for 30yrs is not democracy. And again I don't understand Zimbabwe, It's clear Changirai has serious weaknesses but still can front him for the third time. that was a waste of time.It's well seen that Changirai lost it long time ago and such men must be rested if they can rest by themselves. Last to Emo without the help of the west you seem to be castigating an African country like Zimbabwe can not make much achievements and its evident here in kenya.
