I have been trying to learn how to play an acoustic guitar here in Kenya no avail.on the internet i find European type not African.any ideas? however what do you think of below

It should be very easy there if you've got a bit of money, just go to one of the local bands and a guitarist should put you in the right direction, African guitar guitar style is literally the same, it's picking style.
The video you've posted above will not help much as you are a beginner, it's advanced level, that is soloing however when we learn guitar we normally start by learning rhythm then progress further so here are some starters for you but first learn how to identify and learn some basic chords.

I will find time to record myself using my computer webcam but as for progress, am still playing rhythm and haven't progressed to soloing yet.

Going straight to soloing is a bit complicated, the basics will do you good.
