i think you are right, but unfortunately congolese musicians have now being doing music for congolese fans only and some with their so called "world music"
i fault koffi for this,he has a massive influence on congolese artists, and is one of the guys if not the guy who brought polemic that a true artist must prove himself on rumbas and generique and sebene is for lazy leaders who rely on atalakus to save their career
 from then,everybody wanted to prove him a point and also everybody followed  monde arabe's configuration and it worsened with time
i also fault congolese fans for that,like i have said countless times and ferré also confirmed that,most of congolese fans especially those who buy songs want rumbas so demand and supply forces congolese musicians to release loads of rumbas

And I think that was aimed at Werrason, but Werra also produces some very good Rumba, up to Now I still play Ans 13 and Ton Amour in my car, I regard them as the best songs ever composed by Werra.  Koffi did that on purpose, to bring them to his level and beat them with experience, he knew that he cannot compete with Clan Wenge particularly Werra on Sebene. I think it was you Archo who said that Monde Arabe was wiped away by waves created by Alert General, also Danger De mote couldn't compete with sous soul. So Werra and entered into a trap they cant get out.

This one was hot!!!! to the conversation with JB, archos I find JB to be a honest man, a true leader, a man of trust and one who has interest of humanity at heart. If EMO was to turn up at his work center tomorrow and be told that he is now too old for the job, what would happen to him and his family? The debate whether to go sebene or rhumba to me is not the main issue here. I give Kenya as a perfect example being a country which love rhumba most than sebene and thats why Werra is not well known here. The uprising of the what I may call the fourth generation musicians in East Africa made Congolese music go under for some time but now again coming back steadily. In the early 2000 came the local hip hop and reggae fusion and the emergence of Bongo music that took Lingala music under, but people have come to realize that those of music don't last and are now most associated with teenagers only. To me what may be killing Congolese music if the rivalry and jealousy among musicians. If they can come up with one popular cry like Ndombolo and do it all of them like those years then it can sell even more unlike now where everyone wants their own cry.
