Patou is good no doubt, but he doesnt give me this ish Mbokaliya and Molesso used to give back in the days( that's just me)....FiCarre just in TH and Internet, since then idk what level he fl into,in Anti-Terro I gave him 6/10!

WE NEED SEBENES BACK!! Enough with them Rumba Crap! 19 songs in an album only Telecommande, Genta & Guez made me dance(I always fast Forward to the last 4min).,,and 12other songs: Average! Not worth all the Mitoyi ya Tshianana(Tshiluba for annoying and Useless noises) I like BCBG,and I had to let this one out of my chest!!

Thought I was the only one, but last month at a Congolese Party, ppl would rather listen Ndombolo,TH,Titanic even Kin e Bouger 3 times(BISSSS, BISSSS) than dancing till the end of Mpunda!

Licks cool but the recording of his contributions have been less audible......that guy patou was not showcased adequately. Wait and see if he has secretly joined another secular music band.

only thing i know is that his friend pitshou concorde asked him to help out on a song of i love you as an arranger

BG-ground , i know we all have different ears and tastes but to be honest, Patou is second to only Alain Makaba infact listening to Patou's style, he has a combination of Makaba and Mboka Liya, he proved his worth and as the youngest soloist in the line up of Mboka Liya,Moleso and Ficarre,he created and originally played the guitar partitions for the generique Kipe Ya Yo, yes,he was given the task whilst all those older soloists were still there and when JB Mpiana and BCBG came to Europe leaving Patou back in Kin, all the big soloists left at the same time. Ficarre briefly left whilst in Paris or Belgium but changed his mind and only rejoined the band when it was now in London so he was lucky he was the only soloist left when JB Mpiana had to do rework on Kipe Ya Yo in London so it was Ficarre who had to interpret what Patou created on the generique only and it wasn't as impressive as the original way Patou plays in the youtube link above posted by Shamala.

I have never been worried when artists leave BCBG until Patou solo left. I call him doigts magiques. He could play all BCBG soloist effortlessly. He could also read the singer well case in point is check Djino  presentation of cherie enleve at Fikin 2011 there is his solo guitar innovation part that was not in the album.



Lastly he had the stamina to sustain a whole concert .am crossing my fingers for the replacements...

Well said, i have never really bothered who goes in or out at BCBG but Patou's departure has worried me a bit because he is like no other soloist and it would be so painful if he went to a rival band. This is one soloist who to me is actually second to Makaba because he can interpret or play like any soloist you can think of out there be it in sebene or rhumba without any error.

And up to now JB has not done auditions for a replacement??.....this band should be serious.

it has started already they are looking  for a guy who is already advanced enough to pariticpate in concerts straight away so it takes a bit of time,they really know the big loss of  patou so they are not rushing for a replacement
 its also possible that they prefer internal options since the very same patou benefited from mbokaliya and molesso leaving without bcbg recruiting to replace them
