Hey archos what do you mean by sold? And has the album been sent to paris to be mixed and mastered and when will it be released any extracts? Also what can we expect from the album I hope less of cindy and more the quartier latin band

as for the mixing not the whole album is mixed, the 23 songs i mentioned are tho ones which are ready,koffi is recording  like '40 sonjgs and will pick from them

What is the rational of calling Koffi an old idiot? The man has come up with things that can only be copied by other musicians and that means he's a leader in the game whether you hate him or like him. How long is it taking both Wera and JB to come up with their albums which may have just 16 songs each? Koffi is doing 30+ songs withing little possible time. When you say mabanga is stupid then you seem not to understand Congolese music today, How are musicians going to make their money if mabanga is not done? Sales of albums is nearly crippled and it only remains mabanga, sponsorship and live shows that give musicians money.The fact that people are rushing to buy his songs means that he produces good music.

Whatever I think this time round all these albums are coming out near the same time so lets wait and see who's going to give us good music I wish them all good luck.

totally i agree with nyakone i think that we're going to personal with  koffi , the dude has made good money out of these mabanga's and u can tek this  to the bank once koffi is out of the musical scene he'll be greatly be missed coz of antics. and archos was requesting that u start a thread on the contribution of the 4th generation congolese musicians and  their impact on the music as  a whole , there proteges who have come out of their bands and are doing well artistically .

I'm glad that although I'm still fresh on this board, folks who know me, knows that I'm a die hard Franco fan.  Franco kept it about the music.  He wasn't talking throughout an entire track.

Moving on, for starters, let's stop riding Koffi's dick and let that self proclaimed diva do it.  If you think that mabanga is what makes good Zairean music than you're delusional.  Back in the day, if you're a real follower of the genre, what made the artists fruitful were Europeans or white people. White people no longer have an interest in the product because 1) The lack of sebenes 2) Too many dedications and mabanga. Somebody should've whooped Werrason's ass for poisoning Koyimbi Ko with his endless gibberish and someone should tell Koffi he no longer has the juice, he's holding on to his past successes that he can't get back. 

 I guarantee you, and I will bet my year's salary (I make a shitload of money), that if one artist took their own money and produced an album with no mabanga and more sebenes over rhumbas.  The white folks will jump on the bandwagon again. 

Koffi is doing what any other artist would do........First and foremost music to a serious artist like Koffi is business,so one calling him an idiot will make no difference to his already fat bank account,two he is out there to make a legacy for himself so take it that irrespective of what side of the divide you are in or will  be on,Olomides work wil remain to be just like that.

...Tata you're wrong for this but I understand you were raised here hence you lack that first hand experience of Zairean or African culture in general. Zaireans make music for Zaireans. Soukous  may be an exception but how far did that go and yet it was all sebene with no mabanga. Since you got shit load of money maybe you can buy whole rhumba songs from all top artist this way we can enjoy them like the Mobutu song and skip the rest  ...
