And for those Werra critics,  should listen to his unique voice.

Let's face it, Werrason is an average singer but yes when pushed he sings okay but his singing is below par most of the time.

guys who have some experience in guitars,i wonder why in clan wenge  maitre ficarré is  probably the one  who had those moments with  almost inaudible solo sound the most, what could be the reason behind it?

Well archos it depends on what you are watching because this video you clearly hear maitre ficarre's rhythm partitions of kaskin which was well played but to attempt answering your question maitre ficarre has stuck with the same black guitar (jackson kelly model) for about 20 years so maybe he needs to change his guitar and also ficarre loves the heavy string sounds a lot and sometime the can be a bit unheard and maybe his amp could also cause him problems for his sound. I hope this answers your question.

Yes, i think i understand better, what i found strange is when they played masampu,if you listen to when  makaba  is on lead in the "tempete talaka bana" part and then  after ficarré takes over on masampu and later makaba restarts on lead for kaskin you'd almost think there was no soloist on masampu,a similar thing happened to him at jb's zenith where mbokaliya had to start his own song  djodjo ngonda and also play danico which he actually played in studio
on another note, i think this was the one of the best wenge musica concerts, along with the one which was broadcasted live by a french channel

I also find patty moleso inaudible...he was usually masked by drums rhythm and synthe..any particular reason?

See the thing with fi-carre his a bit complacent as mbokaliya said his good but on Alain makaba's level, one concert in bataclan 1994 I could not even here is partition I think the other lead guitarists take over him because his too laid-back as a guitarist like on masampu makaba took over because he could not feel the energy and a bit off pitch but some how ficarre on  mi-solo and rhythm is actually excellent and what concert was broadcasted in live french tv???

Archos, I think Newside has given a good answer to Ficarre's problem. It's mainly his guitar. Each make of guitar and each guitar produces different sound and what you find is that the higher the price, the better the sound.
Ficarre has been using the same guitar for over 20 years and it's so his sound has been the same. His other position is the position he plays on on the fret board, to me it seems he plays mi-solo and that's why his notes are thicker. He plays from half way position of the guitar. To produce very high sharp notes, soloists play further on the head of the guitar and some guitars are best suited for that especially BC Rich guitar.

If you check others like Kapaya, he's been playing with different guitars, when Maison Mere started, kapaya had a similar guitar to Ficarre's and the sound on the albums was different, on Kibuisa Mpimpa he changed his guitar to a lower end BC rich guitar, later on he changed to another proper rockers BC Rich guitar which is more expensive and has been using the type since.

Makaba and Roga Roga have been using the same guitars too, I think Lebou too, this is the steinberger guitar. Moleso and Mboka Liya use it too, it's a bit expensive too and has good sound. They have particularly thinner fret boards so easy to play on different positions including on the top end of the head of the guitar for high notes.

If you look at Thierry Mogratana, he had some cheap guitar when he joined Maison Mere. I think what he had was a cheap copy of Flamme Kapaya's BC Rich guitar and you heard the difference in tone and pitch between the two guitars. Kimbangu too uses Kapaya's favourite BC Rich and am sure you agree with me that their tone and pitch on the solo is kind of similar.
The likes of Ramazani, Correen and others also use expensive guitars and we know their standards on sound so the brand of guitar has a lot to do with the sound produced though it's also the soloist's styles and position on the fretboard as you'll find that some cheap guitars still produce decent sound if the soloist knows where to pick the notes from and the guitar amp is good enough.

I think Moleso's sound was decent enough.
That particular model of Steinberger guiatr he likes which is a short guitar with a box type head doesn't produce thicker sound but light crisp clear notes but clear enough and when I watch BCBG concerts, Moleso's sound was excellent.

I thought that every Band has to buy guitars for their musicians, so in the event that the band has more than one solo guitarists, they will be changing the guitars whenever they play?
