I always hear of band position but i do not know what their jobs entails.kindly someone furnish the known band positions , progression ie senior-most to below and what they actually do.
Example include band leader , president, vice president, chief of repetition, chief disciplinarian Chief d orchestra etc
Wenge BCBG what do Blanchard and Roger Ngandu actually do and what are their titles?

-president deciides has the last word on EVERYTHING and is the charismatic leader of the band
-chef d'orchestre is the one elected by president,to use part of his authority, take care of the group, make sure new  group members are settling well, make sure disciplinary measures are respected....
this role is either given to the star of the group or to one of the longest serving in which the leader has a lot of trust
-chef of repetition is responsible of the discipline at rehearsals,of organizing tests for potential new group members,of picking the songs the group will rehearse on
-chief of discipline decides with the agreement of chef d'orchestre and president whether to warn a group member, suspend him, fire him from the group
-financial director, there are two types:one in the administration who gets the money from concerts and put in on the group's account and stuff like that, one within the group who for ewxample is responsible of sharing out concert bonuses to musicians and sometimes their salary

in bcbg, roger ngandu is spokesman, private assistant of jb,jb's manager, group's manger, communications manager
whereas blanchad mosaka is spokesman but also is a songwriter and animation compôser for the group
if yoy want ican make the listt of the respective roles in big bands

the role of vice-presidend is a bit fictive these days, its a more of less similar role to chef d orchestre and is more destined to  one musician very appreciated by the leader but who is not chef d orchestre(in bcbg it's genta,in maison mere heritier,in quartier latin it was montana few years ago...) but its not really considered you will never see time saying on tv the vice-president genta or heritier, its fictive
back on the roles in different groups

in maison mere you have chef d'orchestre kakol, artistic director japonais, discipline you have eboa lotin, chef de repetition you jhave ali mbonda la main de fer
in bcbg you have chef d'orchestre seguin maniata, artistic directors kibens and jeremie, dsicipline you have jdl, braham and nono fudji, chef de repetition  gentamicine
in quartier latin chef d'orchestre champion kanda, artistic director cindy le coeur, discipline nseka passé kossé and repetition poupa mystic

Yes,but he is still in that team,in all departments except financial director ficarré and chef d orchestre seguin, its a team rather one and only person
sunda is staying and has apparently apologised for flirting with another group

Ah, I see,no wonder he was probably replaced As Asst Artistic Director. What about Padaché,i have not really understood why he briefly played for Quartier Latin,id Koffi just borrow him from JB for a show or album, what of the many guitarists Koffi has,i just don't get it.
Geremie seems to be more knowledgeable on the technical aspects of the keyboard,i have watched some concert dvd's where Cedric Guezula has become stuck and failed to properly get his sound right and Geremie has been seen to correct the problem, one one video he kept going back and forth to Cedric's keyboards in the end he asked Cedric to take over the Synthe whilst he sorted Cedric's keyboard.

the privilege is fnancial, and more recently opportunity to travel in europe for private reasons and stuff like that
when i mean financial, i want to say that not only those guys are paid better, but also after the leaders they are the one who get more money from fans either by "begging" or for a dedication,or for singing a full song for sombebody..

yeah jeremie studied music at school and was actually the best of their class, there was a press article labelling him a genius even before he joined bcb(there was as famous musicians with him likes of cindy,meje30,patou solo and some other who made it in minor groups)
padaché went to quartier latin for 4 months after being proposed money but then seeing he was not feeling "at home" in quartier latin(probably because he did not get the starting role he was promised) he asked to maitre ficarré who jb respects a lot and who himself considers like a dad to convince jb taking him back
and after,he was re integrated in the group and told he'd have to win his starting spot, since the very experienced zygal is there and while padaché was out, frenchie improved a lot

I would have a neutral disciplinarian if I was band leader... One that is not part of musicians....that way, no chance of bias since that guy would not mingle with colleagues most of the time....Like a bodyguard or spokes person...
