The first guy as right, after Koffi played those successful Zenith, Olympia and Bercy concerts Jb wanted to follow in his footsteps but I dont blame him because Koffi is one half of the leaders of Congolese music in his generation. (Very hard debate between him and Werra)

Mpiana is very junior to Koffi in all senses, he only has two successful albums under his belt, and those  are Feux D amour and TH, while Koffi has numerous successful albums  over the years

Tunutu, jdog....I concur with you on the success of mopao, but you are lowering jb to unacceptable levels. He may not match koffi's discography, but he may be equal to koffi artistically as an individual. We can talk the whole day but we know koffi and werras popularity which is based upon support artists especially werrason. Congolese music is based on that structure which jb has not utulised fully after he lost ppu, afande, aimelia, makaba, bula etc. If it were pop or rnb, jb would beat werra and mopao hands down as he has better attributes than those two ie he sings and dances better than werra and beats mopao far on dance skills.

So you may be right,....but be cautious too when you talk of big halls because jbs zennith to me is better artistically than both werra or mopao. I do not know with bercy or olympia. Also remember, numbers of crowds is not the measure of success.

 the real issue is that jb was asked if he was a "patron" since there is many signs of his wealth,jb answered none of them artists of the current time are "patrons"(boss),and the one who could be truly called a boss was papa verckys who had studios,paid instruments for groups,created many groups and so on...
koffi who was labelled " patron des musiciens congolais" 6 years in the testament of later grand hotel owner papa bob mundabi,gets irritated anytime  a musician mentions the name 'patron" without alluding to him as "the patron of congolese musicians",as he takes papa mundabi's words for gospel truth and anybody who does not respect that is nothing but a hater

Yes he's junior in all senses but you're incorrect on the number of successful albums and moreover what's that got to do with Koffi at 60 years old provoking just about everyone in the industry, none of the people he's attacking on tv have provoked him. We know koffi manages to stay relevant on the scene because of polemic,it freaks him out knowing that JB Mpiana, Papa Wemba, Jossart, Werrason, Fally Ipupa and all his other rivals get along and he's on one corner with only Ferre Gola and Ferre being neutral means Mopao is on his own. The guy has simply lost it, he needs more friends now that he's about to release his last album. God will not play drums in the heavens to inform koffi that he's a grown man, polemic should be for the up and coming musicians not grand fathers like Koffi.
