Apart from members coming from bigger bands most of the other members are unsuccessful? Menthe and Gamerose have never really settled well in their new bands after Marquis.
Who were other " junior" members of Marquis and where are they? include instrumentalists.

To me the original Les Marquis de Maison Mere was mainly a makeshift band trying to experiment and when they saw that they were gonna be big came the leadership differences.
Most of the guys were already in Europe and have gone back to doing session music so apart from the known ones the following are still in Europe doing their own things.

Let me mention only those I remember as the regular band members  with the original Les Marquis from the start

Celezino, He had carried on as number two in JDT Mulopwe's Les Marquis but is now on his own, he released a good album 'Colonization' in 2008 and should have now released his second 'Libulu Manzengele' he carries on with session music and DJ'ing in Europe and off course dissing his former colleagues especially Ferre especially now that JDT is up and about between Kin and Europe.

Gemerodze, he was a proper member of the band and also carried on with JDT's Les Marquis,he had a song on the album Moleki Nzela but as you've said now he's with Wenge Maison Mere and on the sidelines propably due to his shyness otherwise he dances ok.

Biva Ray has continued as a session artist

Djo Lokis formerly of JB Mpiana's PPU carried on with JDT and had a song on JDT's album Moleki Nzela. He should have released his solo album by now.


Yves Meteor the drummer is also a session musician

Papy Mbonda should be a session musician too

Picas 'Mbayo' Mbayabo the rhythm/mi-soloist is now a Producer and Sound Engineer in Kin and mainly works with Ferre

The likes of Olivier Tshimanga were never part of the band even Serge Mabiala says he was not part of them band but assisting them and so said Mimiche Bass.

I don't get how Mimiche was in Les Marquis left and came back to MM just like that,The boss at MM probably sent him to go spy on them or something.

No,actually mimiche should have gone to quartier latin instead of returning to maison mere, he was approached with ferre and had even got like 1500 dollars of the money he wanted from koffi,but then when he was about to go back to kinshasa  he met an influent werra fan of paris,who convinced him to go back with werra and he would have a comfortable life

Biva Ray who seems to be one of Ferre's favourite singers has been recording too, he's done some excellent songs

They were not organised right from the start. I think there initial plan was to release an album immediately after leaving and hit hard at Werra and they managed to do that by bringing together Europe based musicians to help them.
Japonais,Serge Mabiala and Mimiche Bass said they were not part of the band but just assisting. There was no true leader though JDT Mulopwe came up with the name and named himself Le Roi Marquis. We also heard it was through JDT's links that they got sponsorship but we also know that it's because of Ferre and Bill that the band got instant attention and when the two ie Ferre and Bill left for Kinshasa the rest of the other guys left too leaving JDT the founder and that's when he actually made the band Les Marquis properly with Celezino,Kerozene, Djo Lokis and the many other members who are now listed as having been part of the band.
