Nkosi, your comments are all over the place,who are we talking about here? Ferre, Fally, JB or Werrason. It looks like you're now comparing Ferre to JB Mpiana. I mentioned the other names to show you that the others do not depend on youngsters or their musicians in order to perform, it's only Werra who depends on the young ones and his strategy has worked for him.
Ferre is successful and wealthy because he's got his own strategy too, no one can ascertain all these musicians true financial value or wealth but the estimates you find on forbes etc are as a result of the musicians earnings and assets they possess,Koffi and Fally are in the top 10 whilst JB,Werra,Ferre and others haven't even made it on the list, no one has argued or said it's not a true reflection but that aside,it's their own money and i don't care about it, my main concern is about the success of musicians who have left Wenge Maison Mere, so far it's only Ferre who has made it, the rest especially all those who went to Europe are now playing in small bars. Musicians who go to Maison Mere simply want exposure because at Maison Mere the focus is not on Werrason himself but the youngsters he gets, they do the work for him on stage, his job is only to pick some of the best from the streets and other bands,that is my contention.

Some of these artists we keep overhyping have only done two good rhumbas people can easily recognise across africa and other countries and no significant generique and absolutely no recognisable dance at all. Maybe these same rhumbas were produced while with other bands and redone later on. Go to any pub in remote zambia, ivory cost, tanzania, kenya, nigeria....play malewa, operation dragon, solola bien, alerte general....search for dances like even the unreleased muselu, lelele, malewa, koyimbiko...Play Kofi ayina, augustine, 13 ans, wabelo, likambo, judgement, blandine, fluer d amour, funny....Even JB who has been quiet has old and current tracks which are far more recognised....The only generique people may recognised is the new primus valium whose effect is way better than the tablets....Yes good singer with vast pitential but still needs some improvement.

...Sly this is what l dont agree. JB doesnt sing alone...he has the potential to do so but  he understands the dynamics of music. He is a product of a band where many could sing. I have never heard anyone say JB depends on his musicians and he is successful because he picks good musicians. Yet when it comes to Werra people want to deflect the success to band members??

Maybe you're not getting what am saying. Basically what i always say is that most small boys who leave other bands want to join Wenge Maison Mere for only one reason which is to get fame as Werrason does not waste time to record or utilise talented musicians if they prove via auditions that they are good or when they are well known from another band and mainly it's because Werrason himself is not really a good singer but a good strategist and that explains his success,he knows how to combine talent unlike some of the many excellent singers out there.

It still remains a fact that Werrason in himself cannot dare take a risk by doing an acoustic concert for instance where he's the only singer on stage,it's high risk for him but others like Ferre,Wemba, Koffi, JB, Fally have done it. We still applaud Werrason for rubbing shoulders with the best out there, he's set himself up really well and beats some of the best singers.

Yes indeed, unless it's a short concert of say an hoour it would be boring to watch just one person singing for several hours although Ferre and Papa Wemba have actually done that before and the shows have been the best so far.

A promoter once organized an acoustic concert for Suzanne Owiyo here in Jersey and the hall was surprisingly packed until the crowd realized they had 2plus hours of monotony; a DJ had to come to the rescue
