lol he is "international", yesterday i saw an interview of lacoste on a afro-carribean  channel he said he was the main man of the new generation of congolese music after koffi and wenge,then one of the presenters said what about fally ipupa,i laughed so hard with his face reaction he was like he would  answer in lingala and do his polemic about mutambu na nzela and stuff like that

He's smart,he managed to shoot a simple video in that short time,the song sounds good and has the potential to go international,this is the sort of beat that is appealing to the wold listeners, it's a bit of both worlds.

Why would they interview him in the first place??   

 kie kie kie  there is a producer who wants to build a project with some african francophone artists and lacoste was introduced to him,along with guys from senegal,gabon.... and record an album totally in french but on african rhythms
but none of those artists are big stars, all them spotted in concerts about francophony in their countries except lacoste
thank God he did not say stuff like " le feu c est le feu" in interview

I do not know what is wrong with werrasons students. I get a feeling that artistically, they were not taught to ran a band on their own. Look at bill clinton, he was like the best atalaku in wmm but today he is nowhere in music. Ferre gola too, with good voice but you sense some lack of confidence in him while his music too, is not at the best that we expect. Celeo scram, name them. I am trying to see how chai ngenge and gino will do.

I look at it like this...firstly l think Ferre does way better than all of them combined..he just has to improve on generiques and add more variety to his music coz at times you can hardly tell songs apart. Bill needs to concentrate on churning very powerful generiques and capitalise on that and not too much of this staff. Congo music is funny...how you start matters a lot. I have high hopes in Watanabe, Chai...they will give us good staff. Some of them went solo at a time they hadnt built a fanbase and went on to give us trash

Well spoken nkosi......I love the truth. Let me bring in fally who I am watching on dvd right now. The guy is just splendid, mixed with variety in his music. He also has high confidence in himself. I also like the way he uses felly tyson who in mopao was underutilised. I think chai will produce good music ....he just needs a good combination of slows, sebene and afropop.

This guy has never been the same since losing Luxembourg...
