Interesting questions. On his new primus maxi single, Ferre Gola has gone back to the formula he used on Lubukulukumu which was his first primus single.

Q1.  Christian Solo the slim soloist is one of the musicians who ran away when Ferre did his first tour of Europe with his band as a solo artist, he lost more than 4 musicians,Christian  is alleged to have sneaked out at the airport when he was handed his passport for check in, he went to the toilet and disappeared!!

Q2. I believe the other rapper you're referring to is Muana Congo, he's the one who opens most Ferre's generiques including Boite Noire and the new one coming up.

Q3. Bana Chetani means (Chetani's children) Chetani is another nickname of Ferre because of his composition Chetani on Werrasons & Wenge Maison Mere's album A la queue Leu Leu.

 its bill clinton who nicknamed him like that during some studio sessions with maison mere about his impressive singing,as to  say he is a "devil"(more than a normal human) in terms of singing( which does not mean ferre is innocent in true chetani things though looool)

Christian Solo is a good soloist it's a shame he's now in Europe ,i think he must be with some small group or church band just like his namesake Christian Solo Bombole Airbag.
Musamaria the ataluku once returned from Europe and joined Maison Mere but he had problems with one musician in Maison Mere and rivalry began, Werrason even tried to reconcile them on stage during a rehearsal, i can't remember the title of the video on youtube, Musama featured on a Primus single with Maison Mere then went back to Europe as Werra sidelined him probably because of the rivalry that was brewing now he has asked Ferre to forgive him( with Ferre's colleagues ) facilitating his move back to Kinshasa should Ferre allow him to return as shown in the video posted by Roméo above.

Ferre did not give himself that nickname infact most of us who have nicknames got them from other people,some we reject but they stick on, it's hard to get rid of a nickname and Ferre is not the only victim even the likes of soloist Pathy Moleso was nicknamed ''Le Diable de Tasmanie'' (the devil of Tasmanie) but that doesn't mean Satan the devil but the animal itself called Le Diable de Tasmanie.

But don't forget that ferre has other nickname like Jesus de nuance, a nickname some of which are still reference in song . So for me it's balance at the end.

Exactly,not that these guys are angels but they do not deliberately call themselves devils, it's just sheer ignorance on their part that they accept such nicknames and not that they can actually get rid of the nicknames coz when a nickname sticks to you it's hard to get it off.

No problem Simeon so to answer you directly, indeed the word chetani or shetani means devil but not in the sense we normally think of it, it's just like they used to say Luambo Franco was the sorcerer of guitar or guitar god.

Sly i dont think ferre is so ignorant as not to know the meaning of chetani. Man, that is a bantu word. He has to know. What kind of backing do you want to give him. Chetani is satan and so ferre just has to extinguish the name.

My friend,am not backing him, he did not give himself that nickname and he doesn't call himself that name, just like many other stars,his current nicknames are Jesus de Nuances and Nika Boronina,that Chetani nickname is rarely used.
