He says in terms of rhumba(to improve) he  inspired himself of papa wemba,his brother of quartier latin( then says antoine agbepa),fally,ferre and say he wont even mention madilu because  they all release albums but nowhere near his level
after they show his clip,he says he forgot to mention his friend jb mpiana and that what has helped him make the changes people can notice in his new rhumbas is that he understood that the melody plays a great role in appreciation of a rhumba and also that his lyrics were too complicated in the past so what he had to do is to make simpler lyrics(but still with a certain quality) and improve on melody

In what sense did they help him? He's the one that rendered them his services(composing) and did not perform in their bands. On the other hand, Koffi who was initially a composer and guitarist started by supplying songs to Papa Wemba when he was a student then Papa Wemba featured him in Viva and that's how he came to be known and he curved out his own music career so it is Papa Wemba and Koffi Olomide who had mutual benefits from the relationship.
