good question, in most of the cases those songwriters are taken to artist's house through one guy who is around him then he makes artist listen to song and if he appreciates he gets it,or sometimes they actually order a song to a songwriter i want a song about this and that and the guy works on it

there has to be a better system set up. are these artists really not paying these dudes or are they just saying that for some publicity? how can song writers time after time keep getting ripped off? if these dudes are writing these songs for the opportunities knowing that they will not get paid and just knowing how the system is are they just complaining later for tv time??

i think they really are not paid or paid peanuts,many times they brought songs and were told to come back the day after because boss is busy or whatever excuse then the day after artist does not pick phone anymore and the bodyguards dont want to let the songwriter in and it continues like that
 honestly knowing the bad side of the mentality of our musicians i dont think it will change anytime soon, most dont even want to give lest say 1000 dollars a guy who gave them  3 songs who are potential contender for song of the year
i highly doubt they would accept the legal way which would make those guys benefit from their compositions forever
and also in some cases,songs are purely and simply stolen from composers and taken to  leaders by some guys who are like spies for the leaders and they get  something for the service 100 dollars, one jean one fancy shirt or pair of shoes  and thats it
this is why more and more songwriters try their luck with solo albums

that guy says he is a INA student and now a teacher of music theory and already writes his songs with a  beat in studio and then the artist and his musicians improve it a bit
he can play many instruments,he can sing he can dance he is written l 'amour n existe pas for koffi,and talks again about the songs he gave fally saying for example that fally interpreted ndoki well but had taken off the real beginning of the song so maybe he will do a remix with full version

Wow, he's so confident!! Am shocked, $200 for a song and we know they all just buy songs so why does it take them years to release albums these musicians of ours? Working with this guy and session musicians even boys from the streets in Kinshasa i can release good albums every year!!!

mabanga is a really tough part of studio,imagine there are even  sometimes indirect heated arguments between two customers who want their names at a specific part of the song and this can drag the finishing of a song for weeks until the highest bidder wins
look at balle de match and 13 eme apotre,album was 99 per cent complete for like 3 4 months now,they have kept moving mabanga here and there which forced a bit of copy and paste and eventually even had more demand for  new songs and for mabanga in those songs
 a guy like wazekwa whose mabanga are like 80 per cent of friends and the rest of customers never spends more than 6 months of recording (if you combine the days)
kie kie kie pida is really confident, the way  he clearly says the number of songs he gave to roga and werra for example says a lot since normally they not have the right to say it especially this early,so maybe he is fed up of having been unpaid for too long so now he does not give a damn

Hahahaha, mabanga is really killing this music but I don't blame the musicians, they used to make money through concerts especially travelling abroad now they have to rely on studio mabanga to survive.

I only hope and I really hope that JB Mpiana is using a proper studio this time because the sound on the Soyons Serieux generiques was a let down, I skip all the generiques on that album coz of poor mixing,it was so amateurish.

I still dont understand how these musicians operate. They are not professionals at all. This fellow can single handedly be employed by Koffi,Werra or JB as a band music compser and they cant do that. The picture I get here is a people who want to make much without spending much.

exactly ken,most of the songwriters are young and unknown  so they can bully how they want,like i said in a past post,there is already a songwriter like that who has been beaten to death(rip) because of order of an artist since he exposed about 20 songs he gave him and got peanuts
then there are experienced songwriters like quartier latin's ex rhythm and one of the creators of tchatcho do akongo or eldorado,which they treat with more respect(even if there are still cases of them also being direspected by artists)
