Haha, oh man... I forgot about this gem. I know he's an easy target and journalists have trapped him on numerous occasions like this, but goddamn somtimes I find myself wondering how Werra got to his level with his singing ability.

Actually Werrason is a good backup singer. If you listen to some Wenge Musica songs, Werrason was perfect in tune with Papa Cherie JB Mpiana. JB and Werra were perfect in their choirs. It was impressive.

Case in point Wenge's last album Pentagon, Werrason and JB Mpiana were pefect together

Indeed, he's a excellent deuxieme voix and animateur (in the late 80's-Kin é bouge), however, if you think all of the deuxiemes from the various groups, the majority of them were not too successful when they wen't solo and refused to sing anything in deuxieme - because they lacked vocal range. Werra has been a big exception

The longstanding secret with being a deuxieme is that the singer is able to conceal whether or not they have a vocal range and endurance. Having seen Werra live several times, I've noticed he only sings a maximum of two songs back-to-back, even then the chrous has big intervention. Whereas someone like Defao, even Koffi can sing, dance to 15 minutes long sebene, then immediately sing another ballad, back-to-back all concert long.
