I found it strange that Papy Jah wasn't present in the videoclips.

man, tough one y brother but to me their best album is OBLIGATOIRE, the mixing is superb,the atalakus are excellent....People always ommit atalakus like kila Mbongo before he left but most of all ARAFAT 25OO volts who destroyed everything...

I would also say OBLIGATOIRE. It was the album where you hear the best singing of Roga Roga.

when you say extra musica , i guess you are talking about  all of  them ( extra musica bpbl(original) , international and zangul). in my opinion  i will go with trop c'est  trop over all . artistically speaking , the work was well done. obligatoire is a good album but  not a great one and does  not even top shalai. please  listen to gambala , 12 balles, njuni  and zangul zangul  ..the list is so long for  trop c'est trop  .so i will definitely go for trop c'est trop,shalai( sisi , zineba and other), oligatioire( rufin buka,aigle imperial ,gyrophare and  l'oublier ), etat major,super  helico , ouragon   and  then the classic les nouveaux missiles ..la main noire is crap , excuse my french but i  bought that double album and i can assure you  guys that i happen to play it only twice and got tired of it. i dont know if its only me  be i find roga's voice verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry annoying.

I found Roga Roga singing also annoying, that's also why I don't really like Obligatoire so much like Trop c'est Trop. I would maybe better if Doudou Copa sung Aigle Imperial & Epaka, like Probleme Sur Probleme and Horizon 2000 for Roga Roga in the past albums.

1. Trop c'est Trop
2. Nouveaux Missiles
3. Etat Major
4. Shalai
5. Obligatoire

i will also go with the "maturity " factor here with trop c'est trop,roga gave his all in distortion and pure solo,oxygene doudou and co now had bags of experience behind them,and to that mix young arafat who had a golden chance to do animation alone for such an important album polemic-wise with the rivals of extra international splitting in two branchs
like said above obligatoire marks some sort of  decline which eventually lead to all the singers going solo before next  album
its like in football sometimes you take the exact same team they grow together they win pretty much everything possible then the very same team starts getting boring

Mmmm To me the best are Trop C'est Trop and État Major
If you hear trop c'eat even if I really don't like the generique is crazy how every song is different an has it's own style, my favorite one from that Album is N'Julie for the overall seven and rumba but for only seven I would say Moselekete the seven at the end with an higher key is just wonderful, and then of only rumba my favorite is Karen amour, about Etat Major Etat Major and stop then they made other album really great Amnistie Shalai it is a Masterpiece amis yeyeyeye maybe nyonso to limbisi ah amis yeyeyeye maybe nyonso to limbisi a Moto nyonso a sala mabe to sengi bolimbisi... And then Mila Mbongo starts Yaya Yaya Yaya Yayanah nteka nteka nteka... So much energy about Obligatoire good album but the generique even though it was good was too much so!ple for my taste but the other songs except the one where Roga Roga forces the sing are great Redoubtable is the best album's song along with Racine III By Roga Roga which had a great Idea by going back to the origins

You people need to some of this. Trust me, they are good.

The answer is simple: YES

Why?
1. Perfect, very harmonic choruses with great tonality. The strength of Extra Musica even nowdays.

2. Arafat is animating at a standard good level in EVERY song, not just in a few! This is something very exceptional. I mean the vocal side. The only other person I could mention who did this is Roberto Wunda. Kila sometimes had boring moments vocally. It is amazing, but Arafat never.

3. Good solos.

4. Audiophile level mixing. My father is a devoted audiophile since 40 years, I was born into this circumstance, we have tons of records from all over the world with exceptional studio work. Sadly, this is one of those few Congolese CD's I would dare to recommend to an audiophile. For this reason I consider Extra Musica the most international quality Congolese Band. What they created is a product that can really be sold in other parts of the world, and this was the key to it: careful studio work. Besides that I could mention very few albums like this from other bands. Wenge Musica had albums with similarly fine mixing for example.

Trop c'cest Trop has all these features I mentioned, no wonder people say this is their best album.
