JEAN BAPTISTE BIANKODILA AKA AIMELIA LIAS

Jean baptiste was born in 1972 and grew up in matete where he started like almost every artist in church then in small street groups where he is nicknamed aimelia by one of his friends,and at some point as his parents have some financial struggle he starts to do jobs like selling jewels in a market to survive but continue to sing and it even helps him to attract customers
in 1993 when manda chante lives  wenge musica 4X4 aimelia is introduced to jb mpiana by his friend percy tumba and he will live with jb to learn songs for tests and when they arrive there is another  tenorist tutu caludji who also impressed  but they want to keep only one,aimelia has the advantage of jb's full support(and like we all know caludji will use his secret weapon whch is animation to remain in the group)
he will participate in album les anges adorables with his vocal in werrason's sourire des vendeurs which will get a lot of praise
slowly but surely he becomes an important member of the group and will almost get a song on group album pentagone but werrason tells him he will get it in the next group album(which was meant to be a good part of what titanic of bcbg appeared to be)
he will have an important role in chorus of jb mpiana's album feux de l'amour and when the group split in december 1997 and follows jb as he is grateful for how jb contributed a lot for him in the group
he will then get the song he was promised as in wenge bcbg's first album titanic as he releases liberation and not too long after album he will have a stellar performance in jb's zenith concert and becomes even more popular with fans and this will force his way out of the group because of his rebel attitude
in fact,to "punish" him for his attitude the group makes sure they go to have sessions of jb's th without informing him and koffi olomide who is informed  of the tension tries to attract aimelia with big money but he refuses and he decides to leave bcbg and start working on a solo album as he already had songs in prevision of next group album and he will record  constat which was a good album with the likes of alain makaba  but which suffered from promotion,while he is shooting clips he receives call from didi kinuani to join wenge maison mere but he is first reluctant as despite leaving bcbg he still loves the group and sees joining maison mere as treason and there is even jb who is trying to get him back,he will miss out on a meeting he was supposed to have with jb and will be convinced to join as he is granted a salary directly  by didi kinuani and werrason will be very delighted of his arrival as he tells aimelia "your performance at zenith got me amazed" and feels it will weaken his rival of then jb,aimelia is then presented at bercy concert,will participate in kibuisa mpimpa where he will share with ferre some vocals of lacoste who was gone plus his own creation and he will return to live in kinshasa with the group
he will release his first song in maison mere "effet placebo" in the group's album a la queue leu leu and when musicians leave to create les marquis aimelia will become  the man in charge of  discipline and a candidate to become chef d'orchestre but as time goes on werra plans a clearout of the generation of les marquis to start with new guys who can be better controlled and experienced guys like him start to be unsettled so they can leave,he will go to europe with the group's permission for an issue with one of his children but a story will be created that he also went to prepare an album,he will tour once with the group in europe and  unexpectedly return in kin with the group he ends up living maison mere  in 2007 and records another solo album race de vainqueurs which like the previous one lacks promotion
at some point in the years after he will take a break from music to work as a delivery man and will return in 2014 with project of another album and will start to have concerts with former members of clan wenge groups until it now starts to become like a proper group where he is the leader with who he is recording his album


JOCELYN DIENAYAMI LUKIBANZA AKA JOSS DIENA LE FORMIDABLE

jocelyn was born in 1974 from a family of artists with his parents being musicians at church in the area of ndjili,and he will follow them to sing at church while he goes to school,he will start singing in street groups in 1993 and later on form with friends the group info musica where he will be the leader,lead singer and will help out on animation but will also sometimes play drums,bass and rhythm guitar and even solo as he learned all in church and gets authorization from his parents to become a full time musician when he gets his diploma in electricity and mechanics
 in 1999 him and many members end up joining the newly born cultura,joss  brings with him two generiques where he did most animation on and those two generiques will be used in album signature,ofcourse with improvement,and this already pleases wazekwa who sees in him a hard worker
 in his first days in cultura joss is nicknamed "little manda chante" as he sings like him but wazekwa tells him to change the way he sings so he can have his own identity
he will straight away become an important member of the group and will participate on all tours and will first shine in album yo nani in the song kito epula and wazekwa gives him nickname tony blair as he sees in him a similar profile to alain mpela  who had turned chef d'orchestre role into "chef du gouvernement" as he dances very well, sings very well and has  a strong natural charisma
he will again shines few times later in the song "texto" with his vocal "mokili yango liboma" which will be very appreciated by fans from various groups
but on lifestyle level he grows frustrated as wazekwa,still in his period of learning the "codes of leadership" in congolese music he is influenced to act like other leaders,blocking money for himself and other stuff
so joss feels he does not compete well enough with the likes of fally or ferre but in 2006 wazekwa humbles himself and starts to listen to joss but joss still holds strong hidden grudge
in 2007 when koffi olomide and wazekwa fallout again,he will surprise everybody by joining quartier latin
 in fact,on tuesday night he is seen on tv attacking koffi and announcing they would be  going to france to play at olympia and record album que demande le peuple where he would get a song then on wednesday he does an interview at koffi's house to announce he has joined quartier latin
on wednesday while driving to one of wazekwa's houses he uses for private rehearsals he suddenly changes his path heading towards koffi's house which leads to a fight between him  and the bodyguard wazekwa gave him as a chef d'orchestre and the bodyguard decides to get out of the car
this sudden departure is a huge blow for wazekwa who suspects koffi of having attracted him this fast also through  witchcraft to control him,and he suffers blood pressure issues for a good month and loses weight as he feels like he lost a part of him with joss gone
joss signs a 3 year contract worth 30000 dollars(10K each year) and shortly after his arrival becomes quartier latin's chef d'orchestre and participate in koffi's solo album and tour will quartier latin
in 2009 things will starts to turn sour for him as he is arrested as the chef d'orchestre of quartier latin because of koffi having ordered beating of a cameraman of  one of the biggest congolese tv's RTGA and koffi runs away from kin as he is sought-after and he will later be released from prison thanks to his wife  journalist lolo milolo  using some of her relationship to get him out of jail as he is unfairly arrested
koffi tells him to prepare songs for a group album and he comes up with songs and he tells koffi he has many songs already( since he learned the art of writing next to wazekwa) but koffi changes his mind and tells him to wait because he wants to promote cindy,and in the meantime he starts getting angry against joss as joss' wife lolo does interviews with the likes of wazekwa who are in conflict with him so even when koffi still allows a couple of singers to add songs on "la chicotte a papa" joss is stripped of opportunity and left behind on europe tour of zenith
also he will be informed by guys next to koffi that koffi says in private he'll completely ignore those musicians from wazekwa's group and this is what happens in 2010 when he sometimes even does not makes the list in kin's concert and hears later from colleagues that they performed here and there
the ultimate humiliation for him will be cindy taking the mic off him during a rehearsal and koffi shouting at him for replying,he goes back home in tears as this makes him regret having left wazekwa when he was on the verge of getting advantages he wanted
he then starts missing a couple of quartier latin rehearsals and his father tells him to  have courage to leave because there are enough signs that he is not welcome anymore and will help him recruit musicians to form a band
he will try to join wenge bcbg but  jb declines as he does not like taking proven musicians from other bands but gives him some money which he will use to record a song with meje30 announcing his album and in 2011 vitrine will be released with arrival of hono kapanga and gesac who also were given bad treatment in quartier latin,vitrine will be a quality album but he lacks funds to handle promotion  on long term and does not want to bother tshala muana and her husband claude mashala who already did a lot in funding album
in the years after he will often announce another album where he had plan to sing with two of his role models papa wemba and jb mpiana
he recently announced he will head to europe to do mixing of his album "plan b"

FIFI MWAMBA TSHIAMA AKA MAITRE FICARRE

fifi was born on 3rd of june in 1963 in the region of kasai and like most musicians started music in church as a singer and then later as a guitarist
then when him and his family moved to kinshasa he started playing in street groups then in the early 80's join groups like lipua lipua,litonge bouge and so on and at the same time continuing to study
 when reaching university he studies at ISC school where he is classmates with noel ngiama werrason and develops strong friendship with him
he keeps playing in various groups and starting to do session work with artists and in 1987 he is called by werrason to make up for absence of a soloist in a makeshift lineup of him on lead,blaise kombo on mi-solo,djolina on rhythm,blanchard mosaka on mbonda and his elder brother on drums
but with the return of alain makaba there is no room for him to stay in the group at that moment as the group does not want back up for makaba
but thanks to his friend werra he'll still be rehearsing their songs and in 1991 when makaba goes to europe again  he is accepted as the group second soloist and will benefit from makaba's absence to earn himself a name and will be taken on europe tour then play in kalayi boeing which is obviously a great hit
from then on he will be switching from mi solo to solo with alain makaba and shine on songs like danico or masampu
in 1996 he will get allowed to release song djodjo ngonda in group album pentagone and song gets a great reception and in the meantime he will start rehearsing in private with his friend werra with the project of private werrason tours outside wenge musica as the leader of the groups all start to have personal ambitions and partly because of that he will play a very minor role when jb mpiana releases album feux de l'amour
nevertheless he'll surprisingly remain on jb's side when the group split as he is not only is a bit upset about werra's money issues but also like the other "minor members" he knows there is tensions but he is hopeful of the fact the group remains together and attends rehearsals after reunions thinking werra and co will come but he then realises he is already part of a newly born group and with a ready visa for europe so he ends up remaining with wenge bcbg and like in feux de l'amour he'll barely play as there are makaba and mbokaliya above who play most of the songs
thanks to makaba and mbokaliya leaving he plays a lot more in jb's th as he not only plays his parts but also has to interpret parts of mbokaliya gone to the rival maison mere
he then goes to play majority of songs of album internet where he gets his first song in wenge bcbg espoir de chicago and three years later decision on album anti terro and during that album when chef alain mpela leaves he is in contention with tutu caludji and seguin to become the new chef but his shy nature goes against him
nonetheless even if he is not  a chef he still has a lot of influence and when on next album he is meant to get his song as usual he tells jb he wont release this time as he prefers young guys releasing francis solution
he misses out on bcbg's return to europe after ban as he is serving an own ban as he decided to stay in europe to save his relationship of then as the woman forces him to remain or she leaves him
 in 2010 he makes his return in europe list after his ban is over and will get another song homme d'affaires but unfortunately for him there is no space on cd so his song is released only on internet and he is given authorization to release a solo album and starts programming and even announces in one of his rare appearances on tv that his dream is to reunite wenge musica members on some songs but quickly he is caught by lack of funds and decides to put album on hold and adds a song on balle de match yet to be released

It was definitely a bad choice of Aimelia to join Maison instead of rejoining BCBG in Paris.

Ooh so was T.H. still not finished when Wenge BCBG returned to Kinshasa after that Europe tour of 1999? Or did they just modified some parts of Burkina's sebenes and change that Burkina Faso-animation in Souverain 1er ? just because Burkina decided to join Maison Mere.

Where were those modifing recordings done ? in Kinshasa or Paris (did the whole BCBG then return to Europe) ? and were the songs Leaurets 2000, Accapela & Education done in the same period? Because you can only hear Calugi, Mpela and Titina in the chorus

 jb returned with titina afande ficarre tutu and theo bidens(if i recall this is how they got jdl into bcbg) so ficarre did some songs and caen did pipina and one of the rumbas

JULES FERDINAND NSIMBA MAKIESE KIBENGA AKA PROFESSEUR JULES KIBENS


Jules was born in 1966 in the region of congo central and is named nsimba as he has a twin sister and grew up in his native region having first contact with music at church with his mother who sings in the choir
 as he follows his mother he first dreams to become a pastor one day then when reaching age of teen his passion for music grows as he aims to emulate dindo yogo and kester emeneya who are his role models
he decides to move on his own to kinshasa  and he will play in a group called LARMS where he will be spotted by jb mpiana and werrason of the wenge musica but he will first decline their approach to join them as at that time wenge still is a rival at street group level,its in this group that he will given nickname of jules kibens which is actually the nickname of his older brother who is also called jules
he will discover himself a talent for writing songs which will help him fund his school fees as he learns arts as he starts selling songs to zaiko through beniko popolipo and another zaiko member,to choc stars members like carlyto and defao, he will have in 1988 a cassette of songs taken to koffi olomide and bozi...then he gets another approach to join wenge musica which he accepts as taste for a musical career is getting bigger but the move is blocked by his family who do not want to him to dump school for music so he is sent to brazzavill in early 90's while becoming a songwriter for his friends of wenge musica
he'll get  diplomas in brazzaville and continue into music joining the group of a guy called le grand mumboshi where he plays alongside the likes of roga roga,papy kakol and co then moved to the group of chairman and later on to folk stars where he'll already release several songs known way later and at the death of the leader he becomes the president of the group
in 1996 he starts coming back to kinshasa to start  working with jb mpiana on his feux de l'amour project so he gives his lessons as a teacher during the week in brazza then goes to jb's house in kin during the weekend to work but sometimes he remains in brazza for months as his job of teacher does not allow him to constantly move
outside his job of teacher he also owns a painting workshop which also him to earn some money as he receives a very low salary as a teacher and during the civil war in congo brazza his workshop will be  destroyed by  rockets which will be a huge blow for him as he is left with almost no money and one day he decides to go back to kinshasa with the little money he had left which is just enough for ticket and whereas he has family back in kin he prefers walking for a long distance until house of his friend jb  who welcomes him at home and does all he can to make him recover from that tough period,he proposes him to join bcbg as a back up singer but alain makaba is reluctant at the  beginning as he only knew kibens as a writer but not a singer but  kibens impresses him by reproducing dindo yogo's parts of one of the songs of alain's album pile ou face
he then joins officially the group and becomes the first member of what jb will called PPU joined few weeks later by the young heritier and rio de janeiro
kibens will then start to appear in bcbg concerts either one song at the beginning or sometimes singing the last song with heritier when most the of crowd and musicians are gone and one day he is so upset about it seeing as an humiliation that he almost fights with the sound engineer but he will soon be conforted about his importance in the group as blaise bula will soon leave wenge bcbg allowing him to enter first team
it is also important to notice that as an artist and designer kibens will do the covers of many albums and concert dvd starting from titanic
as a new first team member he of course makes it to the list when bcbg come to perform at zenith and olympia and as there are strong disagreement between jb and artistic director jb gives kibens responsability of the sound setup for zenith concert despite presence of vice-artist director titina in order to prepare him to that role with titina getting the main one and it is a big success as the concert remains forever one of the best in congolese music in terms of sound
he will get first opportunity to add a song on group album internet as he releases love airlines which get as fairly good reception but at the same time he almost falls out with jb as jb discovers he lends a couple of songs to maison mere through his cousin ferre
 in 2004 when the group releases anti terro he is allowed to release a song but prefers to offer his song lekasopo to gentamicine lisimo as he already is satisfied by the money made from songs given to jb
two years later in kipe ya yo he releases voiture which is not a big hit but still appreciated for arrangement and that album marks the debut of a very huge impact on wenge bcbg's songs as from then zero song is released without at least a word from him
in that period there is a lot of contest from bcbg fans who want jb to get rid of long serving musicians who for them have offered their best already so should just leave the group and kibens is one of the most targeted members and is often threatened and even sometimes assaulted at home which leads to his friend and boss jb tasking of one his own bodyguards to be with kibens day in day out and despite all this kibens remains faithful as he thinks he owes jb a lot for how he bailed him when his life was down and also he is not interested at all in becoming a band leader again as he experienced how hard it was in terms of daily gesiton
 he went on to release the song mbetu eleli but like with most of his songs and vocals credited to him he is criticized for "over complicating" his lyrics and rhythm which appeared to be destined only to people who went far at school and he vowed to change that a bit with his yet to be released song monsieur le quado(quado is a word used in lingala to talk about people who are there to correct pressure issues on tyres) with a more easily understandable text
in 2016 he is offered possibility to record a solo album but he prefers declining for the moment

Lol Archos EMO will kill you for posting the bio of kibens  I honestly can't imagine what kibens would have been like as a 4x4 member since they already had blaise bula and he's lucky cause had it been any other musicians caught giving songs to maison mere they would've been crucified and out of the group like the influential 4x4 guys
