Has anyone made through the whole album yet? I listened to CD 1 last night selfie, pricoces club caught my attention. Ferre song is very good also. It's a bit better than abracadabra hopefully I will complete CD 2 and CD 3 today. I do like Cindy but she's being used too much. Her last single was just perfect, but now koffi doesn't give other band members a chance.

I listened to the whole album but I  might wait until next week to do my review so other people can listen to it good before judging.

There are no Sebene songs unfortunately but there is four generiques with sebene in it.

I have sampled the album and I must say in MY OPINION it is utter garbage. The only songs I can listen to again are Symposium and Patronne. People have vilified Abracadabra for being a poor album but at least I have Etoile d'Etat, Double Mbonda and La Foudre on my play list. For this album, there is just no song worth my time. And I am not a Koffi hater, in fact I was one of his remaining few fans and if anyone has been following the debate on Apotre on this forum you would have seen how I had fiercely defended Koffi from those who were predicting the album would be crap. Turns out they were right. I will now wait for Ferre's album since I know BDM will be a worse version of the trash Soyons Serieux was. All albums released in the recent past: Boite Noire, Fleche Ingeta, Libre Parcours and now Apotre have all been mediocre.....So what is happening to Congolese music?

ARSENAL DE MEDIOCRES MELODIES...he is so clever that he decided to feed people with his last load crap.. what a shame ....smh .... im totally going back to maitre d'ecole .

Symplicity, albuns like Boite Noire,Libre Parcours and Fleche Ingeta and Anapipo which is an EP have very good songs in them. It seems like you choose the negative.

@mr vibes, no need to be rude my brother. This is just a forum for opinion and that is why i had said that was a personal opinion which i  assume is my constitutional right at least in the country i live in. Remember I didn't say all those albums are crap. Those words were in reference only to Apotre. My adjective for these other albums was mediocre and my English dictionary tells me this just means average or ordinary. My apologies my meaning may have been lost in translation. If you ask me again I will tell you that these albums were not crap but neither were they spectacular.

Jdog, I always respect your take on most of the issues on the forum and i think I owe you clarification on what I meant. What i was saying is that those albums I have mentioned didn't have the kick that I always got when new albums were released. I had to use a benchmark and mine were albums released before the ones i mentioned. Even ADBM had Cadenas which is an anthem for rhumba lovers and Travelling love , Qui Derierre Toi had Kamasutra,3eme Doigt, the signature track and   Joao Ndombele the club bangers,Qui est Probleme had Zadio, Excess d Amour, Mayi ya Sika has good sebenes and generiques and nice rhumbas of course while Techno2 had the likes of Prince de la Ville. From my analysis above you will notice that my bias is towards Rhumba songs. I do agree with you that the albums I mentioned were not all hopeless e.g Boite Noire has songs like Litaka, Kili ya Libala, Tunnel and Boulevard. Libre has Kalombo's Formole which I love, Fleche has very energetic Sebenes though monotonous but these are all songs one can listen to. So my worry was that most of the albums coming out are not better than those that came before them as the case should be and that in my view represents a decline. So my question was, is Congolese music sliding backwards? Excuse the narrowness of my focus because I appreciate that there are several interesting acts coming out of Congo e.g Fabregas, Brigade, Robinho, Deplick and the other old guards like the Wazekwas and the Papa Wembas of this world. I chose to major on a critique of the big guns because they are always the yardstick. Maybe I dwelt on the negatives or I am the problem as mr vibes helpfully pointed out but I expect better from the artists I critiqued.

You've gotta be kidding me no sebene??!!!!!! Mopao has really lost the plot how could he not include one sebene song in his last album if you look at v12 Loi Effrakata attentat and others they have loads of sebene in it and they will forever be classics and I'm totally bias towards sebene and I always will be

Not sure what you guys are talking about... There are 9 songs that can classified as sebene (for today's standards) and one sebene song at the end of Vol. 4. Whether they're up to par or not is subjective. Tueur des Lions is the most decent, the rest are better that what has been released in the Cindy era. Honestly, like Abracadabra, I'll never listen to this album in its entirety.

We're critical because his albums of yesteryear were miles, eons better than this album, but the album is selling in big numbers. His tricks to stay relevant work. If anything, this album is an exercise on how to market and release an album (Koffi Central and Studio N'diaye); other artists should follow.

Matebu, there is only four generiques with actually sebene and the rest are decalle. There is nothing to argue about.
