He said a lot of things really, can't remember everything as i watched it yesterday. Basically he first started by answering about his new look and he says he does what he likes because he's blessed etc.... then it goes on to his featuring in Celeo's album on a song and video yet he refused to do a video with Koffi since he featured on his very last album and reiterates that it was just a matter of timing, there is no problem doing the clip infact he is in touch with Koffi who also sent someone to deliver a copy of the album, He says he is listening to the album and it's good,so far the song he has liked is Premier Dame...... i trust you remember from my review of Koffi's album i had mentioned that this particular song is a typical Simaro song,infact a remix of Verre Cassé and Ferre just couldn't say that on tv. Later in the interview, he is taken back to the Koffi video issue and he now confirmed that he is not happy with Koffi for removing the mabanga he added on the song he featured on, people had paid him to mention their names and they are not happy with him(Ferre).
Ferre is asked why doesn't get along with any of his colleagues and if he has friends in his generation, he said he gets along well with all his former Maison Mere colleagues when they meet but only has numbers for a few of them like JDT though they change numbers as they travel to and from Europe so always changing numbers etc. Amongst the older generation, he says he gets along well with Reddy Amisi, Papa Lutumba, Felix Wazekwa. He also said he gives and appreciates most of the others including JB, Werra, Koffi etc. He is asked why he doesn't visit other musicians to watch them and he said it's purely because of jealousy and unnecessary controversies amongst the musicians themselves, they would question why he had gone to visit blah blah blah but he says he has been to watch Reddy Amisi.
Ferre is asked why he doesn't get along with Didier Lacoste but says he has no issues with Lacoste, he's reminded that he has stolen Lacoste's ataluku Blaise and Lacoste complained a lot. Ferre said he heard that Lacoste had complained a lot infact he,Ferre watched one interview of Lacoste where he complained but clarifies to say Blaise had left Lacoste's band and had actually created his own band and travelled to Angola but later he knocked at Ferre's door and because he was thought to be unemployed, he was recruited. He said he couldn't call Lacoste to confirm if it's okay because he doesn't have Lacoste's number as like JDT,Lacoste spent most of his time in Europe at the time. He also reiterates that he doesn't ''steal'' musicians and when he is reminded of Bercy Muana who was with Waqzekwa, he reminds the interviewer Papy that Bercy went himself to Ferre's show at Mayi ya Pembe and auditioned and he Ferre called Wazekwa who is his hood elder to confirm its okay and Wakezwa said it's all cool as the boy had left Cultura Pays Vie Band.
He is also asked why he doesn't give credit to composers and he says he doesn't work alone but with several composers and he credits them in songs for instance Leader Kashama who just died and a few more and mentions El Dorado whom he had differed with a few years back and says that was a small issue which they had all put behind and work together well again.
He also says he is not selfish, he has also referred composers to other musicians whom he thinks would interpret some songs better and he gives one example of a song that a composer took to him but he Ferre said the style would suit King Kester well so he called Kester who said the same composer actually sells him songs so he asked for the same song and got it.
Ferre said the band has done most of the songs and soon he will be travelling to Europe to add his lead vocals on the songs and finish up production,he says the 14 track album will be out around February - March next year as he doesn't want to rush it.
He was shown a clip of a concert and how powerful it was and was asked how they prepare for concerts outside Congo since outside Congo they don't understand lingala and he responded by saying they ask people on the ground which songs are appreciated so they play them first before introducing new songs to the audience. Later he is asked where he was pleased to perform and would want to go back and he said Ivory Coast because he was received well and people there pay a lot for mabanga just like in kin as they love rhumba and lingala surprisingly. He also mentioned that he does the songs he does because he is paid to do those songs, he gave another example of a client who initially was not happy with the type of song he did for her(Giselle Nzinda) this is the song Diki Diki on he album Qui est Derriere Toi. In a previous interview, he mentioned that on the same album he had the song Joao Ndombele which the client Joao of Angola was not happy with initially because it wasn't his usual odemba so he only does music his clients want........you hear that EMO and Kaisari, you guys don't pay Ferre so stop the ranting!!!
