Maybe i misunderstood you so my apologies for the offence caused but you were not explicit enough when you said ''Zambian'' and am Zambian so took exception in the comment,am sure you would do the same if you went on a Tanzanian  forum and someone said what can a Zambian say about our music yet you may know some of the Tanzanian music better than even some tanzanians themselves.
We are experienced enough here mudala, yes, i can tell who a good and bad singer and which band is crap and which is good so yes, i know BCBG is an average and non productive band with poor marketing strategy, they exist solely to please Kinshasa based fans and their sponsors Bralima but i will not rant about everyday because JB Mpiana has chosen his business model and it suits him, he's lazy but he knows how he makes his money and he pays well so that's what matters to him and his staff that's why they are all in a comfort zone.

Back to the topic at hand, do you think it would be appropriate for someone like Floyd Mayweather to make a bad statement about Ali Muhammad or even Mike Tyson just because they are inactive,no, there has to be respect. Sai Sai is too little to insult the likes of Papa Lutumba,Josky, Malage and others still entertaining millions of loyal TPOK Jazz band fans around the world.

for once,put your hard feelings aside,look at chai,99 of the guys who go solo look brighter outside of groups chai is the total opposite because its not something easy at all to be a leader
music is a job which can be done untill 90's as long as your can sing or play an instrument,so unlike most other job there is no retirement deadline
this obsession around kibens and those 8 max is really worrying,you call yourself a bcbg fan yet you do not see that there is about 10 times as much as younger musicians than them you can appreciate and not give a damn about that bad bunch,in every group of drc including those who shined much there are always been older people,sometimes people older than their boss like papa lutumba in ok jazz,ficarré in bcbg,beniko popolipo in quartier latin...
lastly you talk about competition,but the competition is now virtual for the simple reason that the group itself and especially their boss is  not anymore in that logic of compettion with whoever,but rather  live in their own world,play their music and earn money
and this is what i have been repeating for months,unless jb decides to come back in that logic of competition,we can write books of moaning nothing will ever change
you can even see something similar with f victeam band which also has loads of guys of boss' age and some older and who  just enter that logic of competition some rare times,its simply a matter of vision of each leader
