Hmmmm Nostalgie, here's Guyguy Fall is singing hits songs Para-fifi of African Jazz, Kadima of OK Jazz, Mingengue of Pierre Mountouari, Amour De nombakele of Pamelo Mounka. Koffi Olomide tried to convice him to join Quartier Latin for Bercy and Force de Frappe, after hearing this album. I think that he would fit very well in Quartier Latin with his strong vocals and charisma. I wonder how the albums Force de Frappe, Effrakata and Affaire d'Etat would be if he sung there in, the same for Papy Jah who was in Quartier Latin for some weeks during the Effrakata-era.


I wonder what Roga Roga's reaction was when he discovered that Ramatoulay Ngolali played on GuyGuy Fall's album Force de Frappe.





This was at that time that JB M'piana wanted him in B.C.B.G. as replacer of Werrason.

I agree Force de frappe and cote ouest are my fav albums. I normally play the song 11 from Ndoki zoba lately, very good singing.

I think that he didn't join Quartier Latin, because he saw himself already as a leader. Without knowing that he would join 3 years later Viva Tendence of Papa Wemba with people like Serge Mabiala, Japonais, Mamale, Guejo Star, etc.

I have always liked this guy's voice. It's unique and quite recognizable. I think some part of the first video is from Pierr Moutouari's Missengue which could be considered a classic.

My question: GuyGuy Fall from Congo Brazza or from RDC? He seemed to have worked with a lot of musicians from RDC.

Guy Guy Fall, Force de Frappe 1999 damnnnnn, these are the songs which made us leave Chez Ntemba at 7am in the morning and reporting for work at 8:30 ,we were partying from wednesday till sunday!!!!!

Ndoki Zoba is alright, wish he had just put more sebene songs instead of the two generiques.

Guy Guy Fall had a promise but probably the spotlight got too much and he decided to join Papa Wemba.
That is my guess. He had too much high success during the 1997-2001 period.
