Nope well most especially during the mid 90s most were from Ngiri-ngiri and other districts maybe one or two are from kisantu

You know how special Ferre is when it comes to singing but Defao in my opinion is in a different league multi-voice tenor or even baritone he can do it

I always say dégueulasse when I think of Defao in his glory days in the early 90s compared to the 2000s. He had it all - looks, voice, charisma, the best dancer, and the ability to let his other singers shine. Like Newside stated, Defao is in a different league with his tenor, a league which also includes Pepe Kalle and Madilu.

To me defao's singing can only be compared to koffi olomide. The two know how to change their vocal range without faults when singing. Jb mpiana and guys like fally.. wemba...ferre....malage...etc come in the next category. Ferre you are right....i hear him stretch in the koffi olomide bataclan dvd when he sings along side others on the skol longitima song.

matebu, i think kester also falls into that category of 2eme voix singers who are so versatile,defao was so good  at high notes than few people actually realised he is a 2eme voix
