He can sing like that or like he did on the songs Courage, Nazareth and Princess Pathy, it's only the arrangement of rhumbas that has changed, the voice is still there, listen carefully to Etoile de Berger and Engobo.

Yes although not as pure and fresh as in the past the high notes are still there, but also i think jb prefers to use more and more his real voice if you listen to the beginning of zadio thats the real voice jb had before evolving into a debaba/wemba type and like makaba rightly mentioned jb is basically a very versatile singer but he just did not exploit 100 per cent of that
talking about that,i was just having a thought yesterday about 1ere voix/tenorists and saying to myself that these type of voices are more affected by age, manda chante is another great example of that back in the days he was doing with ease some very high notes  now his voice has changed he still has that class in his singing but nowhere near the manda who was singing" niwaaaa boni osali nga boye ..."

I see what you mean in the beginning of Zadio but on Daddet I mean that high notes he hit he can't do it as well as he could of in the past I mean those vocals in Daddet is JB another level even on Champion Kapangala you see what I mean a real tenorist.

I totally concur that jb's voice has lost some glamour he cant sing and hit high notes like he did in titanic , his voice started to change for the worse  in internet album going forward...

I totally concur with these observations. jb started loosing his high pitched  tenor voice from the album internet going forward. i think its the departure of makaba and bula who used to push him hard there after  he started being complacent...

You see I enjoy that tenor type he had along with his natural voice he could have had a double weapon which have made extra dangerous because some people are completely convinced he is a faux chanteur.

exactly, chemin de fer will be a big test about his current level, since artists who have group albums alwxays make extra effort when doing solo ones
jb and werra really sang their heart out on this song, and makaba was great aswell, its like they knew it was the last time they were doing a duet like that
