Because no Congolese artists comes from nowhere to announce his retiriment, except when they are about to become "newborn" christians. Also Champion doesn't tour around the world like Soukous-artists or back European artists like Michel Bass often does, who goes to countries like Poland, Argentine, etc. He only used to perform every weekend at Djonga and doing on rare occassions session-work.

I used to have a friend who was suffering from cancer and was in his final stage and after meeting him for the last time, I didn't see him anymore, him only sending me messages that he was really busy and than suddenly after a month he died.

Yeah just look at the late Lebou Kabuya. He was suffering from what was terminal cancer and he was still rehearsing and waiting for Koffi to come tour in the US and he was gonna tour with him. I hope it’s not the case with Champion.
