Quote from: Mopao195 on May 24, 2024, 09:22does wazekwa have a team behind him or isnt just him because that date dont make any senseHe ignores people who give him good advice to just blindly follow those idiote of his brothers, for example his first concert at Martyrs was an idea suggested by Joss Djena but Joss said that he was expecting this idea to take 2 or 3 years to being able to build up, but Wazekwa for some reason just went and did it with very few time notice, then after this there was a situation where he got paid like 150k from a person for a concert and this person gave 500 dollars to each musician and his brothers said that each musician would have to give back their money to Wazekwa with lead to more musician leaving, that man is embarassing and he will never say it but he even asked Ceden and especially Junior Bush TGV Thalisse, Gessac to come back to the group secretly because he knew he would have been clowned and embarassed by all the Congolese diaspora, and Gessac refused for then Wazekwa having the nerve to calling Gessac "Zoba" which means stupid in the most desrespectful way (after KiZengi which means retarded nut Wazekwa just called hom Zoba) i don't know what he plans to do or if he is sane but all this is embarassing but he thinks he is doing it big, cause he performs on self funded big halls

But now he wants the big stadiums...do you think it's regret for turning down many of the opportunities he had twenty years ago?I'm sure Joss Diena, Gessac, and Hono have a little resentment because they did great music but no big moments like Zenith, Olympia, and so on

Koffi was known mainly in pretty much the whole Africa and Werrason had a very strong lock on DRC and eastern African countries like Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, JB was inconsisten but his fanbase was and still is extremely loyal due to that first solo Internet TH project he dropped with him being rewarded with big crowds everytime he decided to make a concert or an album, Wazekwa never had that, and as you have said he had the chance but he always refused, and to be honest when he used to make very big songs like Fimbu, or Et Apres it was always for his generiques never for his rhumbas, plus he has the same problem of Kibens, a lot of people find his style of music too complicated and don't really recognize themselves in Wazekwa's lyrics, to this day if you ask the average Congolese person he will struggle to name a Rhumba from Wazekwa but he will not have problem to name one from Jb, Koffi or Werra.
I think thats also why joss returned, never played a big hall in cultura and was kidnapped at the koffi zenith he attended so he barely could perform(and also i heard rumours that he separated with his wife lolo milolo so he is trying to rejoin his french girlfriend he was about to marry to sort out papers until one of the congolese ones snitched on him and got him deported)

I don't think his rhumbas are overly complicated; some of the most popular ones in our genre are high concepts from Reddy Amisi, Wemba, and Koffi. The problem is that Wazekwa too way too much space on the albums that could have opened doors for him such as Yo Nani and Et Apres. He had great singers like Joss Diena, Biva Ray, Tripason Le Correcteur, and Nasdaq but they only had seconds to praise donors. He insists on using a high pitched voice when his strength is singing as a baritone. Just listen to the beginning of Pardon, he sounds so much better at this octaveHe restrained himself to generiques and stunted the popularity of his singers because Joss doesn't have a Vita Imana, Hono Kapanga doesn't have a Sheraton, and Gessac doesn't have a Mbrime or Pentagone. You know? A signature song that's their own, they just have a couple vocals here and there for nearly twenty years of music...it's sad
